 Coolness: 72875 | C'est possible de se sortir d'une addiction aux opiacés, y'a aucun doute là dessus. Cependant c'est assé infernal, les symptomes de manques sont déguelasses et ca dure une semaine. Ensuite t'as l'idée d'en consommer pareil, comme avec n'importe quel drogue un peu. Va lire sur wikipedia et erowid à propos du withdrawal, c'est assé déguelasse. Des bons livres écrit à la première personne d'un point de vue subjectif sur l'addiction aux opiacés sont : Thomas Dequincey - confessions of an english opium eater, William Borough - Naked Lunch et/ou William Burough - Junky.
Mais faut pas virer fou non plus, plusieurs personnes ont consommés des opiacés quelques fois dans leur vie sans devenir complètement dégénéré. Aussi longtemps que y'aura des médecins à la prescription facile et des fermier de papaver somniferum pauvres en afganistan, ce sera la joie dans nos coeurs. =) |

Thats a myth...You wont die from cold turkey, its just realy realy realy painfull. Methadone is used to "ease you off or heroin". What actualy happens is that it gets you you off one drug and on to an other. Methadone is quite adictive and hard to quit. Ibogain, the synthetic version of iboga, is probably the most effective way of getting off heroin. |

It is not like acid, there is nothing psychedelic about Heroin. Let's try to explain this one. When you smoke pot you kinda feel sedated right? HAve you ever tried Valium/Prozac or any downer? When you have an orgasm and you feel relaxed after the peak? When you take a hot shower after a hard day of work you feel good dont you? Lets say you smoke heroin, it comes on quite fast, it builds up for a while, for about 5 minutes you have this euphoria creeping on you in waves, the best thing to do while it happens is to sink in a couch, be in a confotable place and to close your eyes. All your daily phisical pain is instantly removed. You have no more backpain, no more nothing. Nothing can get to you. You are in a very specific confort zone. There is no philosophical concerns or insights running through your head because those things dosent matter when you're in the zone. This mindstate is so perfect, it is as hedonistic as it gets. After the initial 5 minute moment of extreme bliss, you feel relaxed, pain free and your head is in a cloud ( a good cloudyness, you dont look retarded like somebody on K ) and it lasts for a few hours. In that state it is extremely pleasant to be social, to listen to music or else. It's like living on a velvet cushion. Some people prefer to to nod on a couch in half sleepiness tough. When those few hours are gone, you dont feel any craving to do more like when coming down from a stimulants. That is, if you are not physically addicted. To be physically addicted you have to do opiates everyday for consecutives days ( a week!? I have no idea) . And no, you dont die if you stop cold turkey. But hehe, it is total and absolute hell =) there is no doubt abuot that. Fuck, if only you could die instead of going through THAT, im sure some addicts would be happy to die when they undergo that kind of alienation. Any opiates are a fantastic way to come down from an all night coke binge or to be able to sleep when on the day after from amphetamines. IT feels less toxic than most downers. |
