Like I said I don't know the whole story,

But as far as I know a deposit is a deposit,

The space was provided and ready for use,

If the cops didn't allow the party to happen because they had issues with the type of event i.e. a "rave",

That is not the stores fault but the promoters as far as I know

I dunno the girl who was managing there didn't even try to deal with the police... She just told me to leave! Anyways I don't even know the full story. I left to the backup location (E-CUBE) which I rented in the morning cause too many events were getting busted (people said it was Ray Juniors people but who knows) and the party must go one...

But for sure, for locations, a contract should be made before hand... I'm sure if there was a good contract made, things could have been different... That goes for you also Alex...

Then there was "Sepulcher Conception" at Insomnia... The people who managed the place went to a party in Laval and forgot to open up the location to us... We all ended up doing a house party and someone stole like 5 of my lighting devices. At least they let us use the Insomnia place for free another day which was "Punk Raver Kids"...

Maybe you should ask to use their location for free someday... It does not pay things off, but both sides could win.

For the record NOah,

You told her it was going to be someone's birthday party, you never mentionned it was going to be a rave,

I was there for that,

She was also pretty freaked out when the cops came marching in demanding to know what was going on,

No one was being greedy or out to fuck anyone over,

Thats not what Noize was about AT ALL,

From what I understand it was a misunderstanding,

If you still have issues with it,

I can put you in touch with the owner no problem,

First, I'm sure it was someone's birthday :)...

Second, I'm over it... I was just stating another situation where a deposit was taken without anything happening.

Third, I still believe that keeping the full 500$ was a little overkill. I don't think re-arranging the store cost that amount of money...

Fourth, the place is for rent now... I wonder how much the rent is hah...

Well over $3,000 :)

Anyhow I do agree that keeping the whole deposit was overkill,

But you'll have to admit you weren't totally honest either,

If it had just been a birthday party LIKE YOU SAID it probably would have happened no problem,

However as soon as it became a "rave", other promoters got involved, peeps started snitching, cops start showing up...

Basically no good for anyone...

Honesty is the best policy at the end of the day

It really was just a party that people can rave about... I don't see how a party called a "rave" with 100 people chilling and listening to music is any different then any other party where people chill and listen to music. I don't believe I ever used the word "rave" when talking about the party to people. I also for sure didn't lie about it being a birthday party, it was...

I think the cops used the word "illegal gathering"...

Watch the video and tell me if it was a "rave" or "party"...

Yeah I know that Noah,

I'm talking about the people who called the cops and told them to shut down an "illegal rave" that was about to happen, that whole angle

The cops sure as hell wouldn't have showed up if someone had called and said "Hey there's a private party for Gaston's birthday down the street"

We both know for a cop there's a big difference

geeze i had more people at my parents house in my high school years calling it a party, than some *rave* that were around in the last years...

unless its stadium events. i admit getting more than a 100 people off a propriety is hard, hardr than gettin them in the frist place.

i feel like gasoline, i should change how i feel XD

Used to go up... People in general have more of an open mind now I find... As the people in power change, so do their views about others having a good time. Maybe this whole terrorism thing is good... They have started worrying about that and not people going out all night long...

i still think if you run a store and cant get special order (at least manage them) then your in whe wrong buisness, i repair consoles that you cant find parts unless after 5 days rigged on all the web search engines you finnaly find a supplyer, how do you think that makes me feel when le lame ass dj doesnt even want to look in his databases / call people up / look online.

man sometime it takes me 2 weeks, you can tell someone , ill have an answer for you in 2-3 weeks,
you look it up, if you dont , the client will know, and expect him to think your a fucking lasy fuck.

dont take it personnal, everyone that does that i hate 'em guts, because , when they have broken gear, theyll think that about me if i grab my ass with both hands.
