Ça m'est déjà arrivé (souvent) de me faire répondre par exemple dans un dépanneur par un commis qui avait un gros accent et qui cherchait ses mots en français mais criss, ya fait un effort! Ça m'a pas dérangé du tout, faut bien apprendre. L'opposé s'est souvent produit aussi, c'est à dire arriver à une place et que les gens refusent de donner le service en français parce que ça leur tentait juste pas, ou de me faire dire "I don't speak it, french is a stupid language". Je m'excuse, mais ça c'est inacceptable. Ok pis si le client veut se faire servir en arabe, on fait quoi ?
On se débrouille. :OP S'il tombe sur quelqu'un qui parle aussi arabe, tant mieux pour lui! Mais s'il tombe sur quelqu'un qui parle juste français et/ou anglais, va falloir que les 2 fassent un effort pour arriver à communiquer quand même. Ça peut se faire si les 2 ont de la bonne volonté. |

And it's actually the other way around. I serve them in French/English, and when they respond in either or, I continue that way. But when I can clearly recognize a French client --and that's not profiling, it's just a regular client who comes in, or someone I know speaks French, I speak French to them. Sooo... With all this said, why would they switch to speaking English with me? There's no understandable logic behind it. Just speak French. On the other hand. I do understand when I Franco, who, for example is dating an Anglo, and whishes to ameliorate their English, they'll force themselves to speak English. |
