'Cause I've had 200+ hits on the mix I posted last week, and no one seems to have commented on the thread I used to announce it on here... but hey, I'm talking to someone in Europe who wants to put it out on CD, so maybe it's just a Montreal thing. |

 Coolness: 685575 | That could be a reason for it.. There's too much clutter just having a general section for everything music-related to just be thrown into.. Tracks, myspace profiles, new VSTs/hardware, people selling their gear, mixes.. Hell, I hadn't noticed you'd posted a mix up (and it looks damn good from the tracklist)! (and the link seems to be not working now...)
If there would just be a general mix section, people wouldn't have to click on every link and maybe get something that they're not interested in, and it could do a lot towards promoting all the locals on here, as I'm thinking most of the board doesn't check the music section very much, since they aren't interested in the production/technology, they might just want mixes, but without having to sort through 100 threads to get 3 mixes... |

but yeah, an all-mix section would be great.. And, much as Noah hates the thought/idea/concept of it, have it MODERATED! Not for content of posts, like people can talk about the mixes and shit.. but if someone starts a thread without a mix in the first post, it should get nuked the fuck out. |

Am I the only who agrees with you here ? I can't believe people prefer wasting shitloads of time rummaging through this section to get some mixes. People are allergic to change, no matter how small it is or easier it could make it for everyone. All I know is that I haven't noticed a LOT of good mixes here because there will be a few threads about, say, Serato or about gear to sell, that will generate a lot or replies and will push mix posts far below or on page 2 in less than a day because people don't always post replies in mix threads. |

If you need a separate section to find the mixes, then by all means... Either way, I don't really care. |

Just going through the music section like that really takes away from the whole concept of a community, especially one that's on a messageboard. Might as well just trash the forums and we'll all just talk to each other through PMs and the User Comments sections on our profile.. |
