I'll try and make myself useful by suggesting that you take Sherbrooke St. west until Girouard, and take that north until it hits Van-Horn. If I'm not mistaken, it's not nearly as steep as anything between Victoria and Decaire Blvd, and you might even find yourself cruising a bit downhill.
