 Coolness: 145180 | as much as i like to smoke pot, i have to say that smoking everyday is bad, i know it's hard not to smoke when you have it and you can get it easily (like everywhere in canada) but really (and this is coming from a major pothead) it's not supposed to be smoked everyday, day in day out for years, it doesn't matter if you smoke a lot or little in one day or for two weeks straight and then take a break for a day. It's so much better this way, it's sooooo juvenile to be like 'i have to smoke every single day of my life or i will die'. Take a break every now and then it's better for you and you will enjoy it more...it took me a long time to realize this. |

 Coolness: 159100 | That article is indeed crap. I read like 5 lines and disbelieved it. I mean, we are a rich industrialized country, we mostly aren't broke and our kids aren't either. Yet, most kids here smoke, drink and toke like mad.
Yet this article thinks it'll strike a cord and make us rethink our habits (or our kids) because of THIS bullshit : A single marijuana joint may cause as much lung damage as up to 20 tobacco cigarettes, and regular use can cause respiratory problems such as recurring bronchitis.
Yeah. So does fucking cigarettes, you idiots. And brings on cancer fatser than you can "lung transplant".YET, cigarettes aren't illegal. Way to go, dumbasses. Cocaine use can cause increased blood pressure which can lead to a stroke. It also can lead to brain damage. RUNNING can also lead to a stroke. HAVING SEX can lead to a stroke. NOT EATING well also does that. Hell, even [ Rave.ca ] can lead to brain damage. Obviously, ALCOHOL does none of the above. Ecstasy has toxic effects on the liver. Ecstasy pills often contain other damaging substances such as methamphetamine. These health effects come on top of the other devastating consequences of drug use: job loss, family disruption and criminal records. WHAT ??? Alcohol has toxic effects on the liver. FOOD has toxic effects on the liver. Ok so then, job loss, family disruption and criminal records is DIRECTELY related to drug use. Not watching porn at work, being a violent or gambling spouse or doing a hit & run. No no. None of these reasons will get you that. I'm telling you, kids : IT'S THE DRUGS. Honestly, people who abuse drugs, or anything else for that matter, have it coming. A low and unstable immune system and a poor willpower leads to all that. I always find it funny when parents blame the WHOLE DAMN WORLD for their kids being addicted to drugs instead of even fathoming being to blame. If you sat down with them 15 friggin minutes once in a while, you'd probably find out LACK OF PROPER PARENTING also leads to that. I cain't say it's the answer to that but it would sure help. In the meantime, I'll gladly keep on toking. What do I care, I'm not in that demographic anymore. HAH. |
