I totally agree with Fred, I mean christ, I was sitting in the movie theatre, out in front, right under the screen. And well, usually I don't mind that spot, but for this movie, I felt totally nauseous for the first hour. Was a good movie, the monster looks quite awesome, altough I was a little disapointed with the quality of the texture mapping in that scene where you see it proper from above. Movie was a 7/10 for me. Really good story, I just don't totally agree with the choice of cameraa work. | Coolness: 685635 | yeah, just watching that cam was driving me nuts. I couldn't look at the screen for more than 5 minutes at a time without my eyes hurting and feeling a migraine come on. Also, it's typical google-video quality AND a cam, so most shit is too dark/pixelated to see properly, and all I Really want to see is the monster at this point, 'cause I wasn't too impressed with the story.. |

| Coolness: 226320 | The monster is totally hot. I mean, The uplocse of his face and such are the only ones that are detailed enough to my likinkg. For the other scenes, the rendering seems to have proven to be inadequate, I hate when I can see the alpha bleed.
you don't see much of the bugs either, like the little parasites. Dog sized fuckers, real fast, THEY look good tough. The whole lack of factual info in the movie makes it, in my opinion, a perfect first settlement in a trilogy set or sumething. So much unanswered question that I would actually pay another movie session to have the answers to. And I'm prayin' for a steady cam. |

If so, well, the last shot of the movie was pretty useless, I rememeber thinking that if I were the montage dude, I would have ended it with the chopper bit. Hope I didn't spoil anything. ***Oh and, get back to work you slacker!*** |
