 Coolness: 47390 | This is the sequel to "Touch my Deck" but I did things a bit differently this time. The first 20 minutes or so is trancy breakbeat hardcore (fucking awesome shit in my opinion). The following 60 minutes is a blend of cheesy vocal tunes and pumping uk hardcore floor destroyers! There's alot of cheeky 3 deck mixing and I edited a shitload of tracks prior to mixing so you definitely won't be bored ;)

 Coolness: 153195 | Can't say I'm feeling most tracks (but that's just Brisk & Vagabond's style - too simplistic happy melodies but on the other hand stompy-as-fuck drops) but I obviously loved hearing Stargazer & See 4 Eva, so kuddos for that!
Was rather disappointed (rather confirmed) hearing the entire version of Eye Opener 2007. The use of the chopped up and familiar melody at the very beginning of the track makes me think of some sort of hunting whistle or horn to call nearby ravers to the dancefloor... See ya around Pascal |

 Coolness: 165780 | It's pretty bouncy, then the cheesy part is quite good! Very different from the beginning to the end, I loved it! I enjoyed very much the Seven Cities remix at first :D

yeah, Lone Star, I generally play alot like Brisk, both mixing wise and track-style wise... But I loooove Brisk. I did go a bit into the breakbeat stuff at the beginning this time though, so it wasn't totally Briskalicious :P I'm all about the party tunes, which is what alot of NG/BB stuff is. Music to rock out to :) As for Eye Opener 2007... I quite like it (obviously!). Brisky kept fairly true to the original (which I like!) but used more modern sounds. At first I dislike the re-recorded vocals but they've grown on me - it's nice not to have super autotuned pitched up ripaccapella vocals...and it's been tested and...it SLAMS the dancefloor. |

makina is pretty cool if you mix it the way its intended, by 3 tables, 2 tables for melodic track alternin and 1 for patches tracks between each melodic tracks next time get you mix mastered by [ purefocus.ca ] =P |

yeah, that's how I play makina (did it at Faster than Light in November) - 3 decks and "bases"/"overlays". I love playing on 3 decks :D I'm aware that the mastering isn't great this time (mostly during the first 20 mins/breakbeat stuff). Thankfully, it's getting remastered and a new version is gonna be uploaded shortly! I'll probably hire Ruffage next time ;) He's good. |
