I NEED coffee. I don't work without coffee. (or at least the caffine)
But I like tea too. Tea @ nite and early morning. Coffee all the rest or the time. Caffine pills all weekend

ive heard so many encounters with coffee and feeling a "gut rot" and I am sure everyone is well aware of the side effects long and short term that cofee or caffeine gives you.
Tea has so many perks to it, i really dont understand why people even drink coffee at all Mise À Jour » puresexmegs a écrit sur Thu 1 Nov, 2007 @ 5:26pm ;;;;tea not only tastes delicious but has numerous health benefits. Black tea (the tea used to make chai) contains plenty of disease-fighting antioxidants, which in tea are called flavanoids. Flavanoids are not affected by whether or not you have milk in your chai – they still work effectively. It is thought that tea contains ten times the amount of antioxidants as you would find in fruit and vegetables and that is great news for tea lovers because antioxidants slow the aging process and are beneficial for your body. Chai tea helps to prevent and fight cancer, high blood pressure and high cholesterol and Alzheimer's. Chai tea is also thought to boost the immune system and prevent heart attacks and strokes. The extra ingredients added to chai tea also have their own health benefits. Ginger is thought to strengthen and heal the respiratory and digestive systems, fight off colds and sore throats and decrease congestion. People also take ginger to prevent motion sickness. Cloves are restorative and invigorating. They help to generate heat in the body so are good to take if there are colds or flu going around. Cinnamon is a stimulant and makes the other herbs work faster in the body. Black pepper gives warmth. Cardamom stimulates the mind and refreshes you. Nutmeg adds a rich, delicious flavor to your brew. If you crush the spices using a mortar and pestle, the flavors really emerge. Flavanoids and fluorides in tea are believed to be beneficial for the teeth, reducing cavities and preventing the development of plaque. Tea does not stain the teeth as long as you brush them regularly. Chai tea does not have a diuretic effect like coffee, unless you drink it excessively.
Decaffeinated chai does not taste too different from regular chai, if you want to lower your caffeine intake. It is possible to decaffeinate it yourself. Most of the caffeine is released in the first minute so if you pour boiling water on the tea leaves, wait a minute and then reuse the leaves, your chai will be extremely low in caffeine yet full of flavor.

Teas don't contain enough caffeine. You can't beat a Vietnamese coffee really. But Yerba Maté is another story. As far as teas go I'd take it over coffee anyday, it's the buzz without the jitters.

Hey if you need caffeeine so bad perhaps you should consider sleeping more then going out. Rest and relaxation
I dont drink caffeine at all i always get a good amount of sleep 8.5-9.5 hours a night Id rather cut back on partiing then die at an early age and not be able to take full advantage of senior discount when im older

i have insomnia, so i'm lucky to sleep 4 or 5 hours a night :(
and as they say, live fast, die young leave a nice corpse but truthfully, 75 is a good age to die. i'd be happy with that. but i do envy you with 8+ hours of sleep :)

Wizdumb, it's gonna sound weird and sketchy, but try the "camomille herbal tea" ... ("tisane" or "infusion" in french...) 15 mins before you wanna go to sleep. It works for me ! ;)

What with the age of retirement rising every year and the average age getting older 75 really isnt that old as it used to be hell theres some old grandmas out there that are pretty hot i might add. I'm aiming for 90 at least

Amp_Up is totally right! Chamomile tea is sleepy tea. When made very strong it's great for smoothing out a crash, buzz similar to the ole green leaf.
