really? cause i don't recall going to any big colorful flyer parties in a long time if ever. the small black n'white or even with colorful once where always the best and not a pain to cary around.

Every event on the calendar with more than 100 attending involved a lot of promotion, at the very least with 3000 4 x 6 color flyers.

Acuna matata ?

yeah you are so right, paper is certainly not a renewable resource that can be managed by oh, say, planting trees. |

By the way, a friend of mine who studies in graphic arts asked one of her teachers if flyers could be recycled. Seems that everything is a myth, they are eco-friendly after all. The recycling people never complain when I put them in the box. Normally, you get a notice if you give them something they can't use.

yup, I concur... asked my production technique teacher (who has been working in the biz for the past 20-ish years) and all the ink and varnishes used are vegetal based, biodegradable and recyclable... and legaly have to be
you can ask any printer for recycled paper... itll cost a bit more but its nothing crazy... NOW, the reason why flyers are printed in 3000 or 6000 is... you could get like 200-300 flyers with a laser or ink jet machine but that would cost about as much as a batch of 3000 in offset... the concept of offset printing is that you burn a sheet of metal and then ink it and press it on the paper... this method is much faster and cheaper than digital printing... but! it costs alot to burn the sheets, its what it costs the most in the printing process so its really not worth it to get a small batch done... once the sheets are done the printing costs are minimal... have a good day

ok ok, flyer ARE RECYCLABLE, ok, THEN why NONE flyer (exept the gouvernement I EXPOSED EARLIER) have the tab mentionning the RECYCLATE paper ?
hm ok its is recyclable Always see flyer full strong, made of full thick paper, unfully recyclated, PUR PAPER VIRGIN LIKE MARY AND GONZO but who care? people who promoted party (except couples of heretiks) dont show this lack but agreeding in a way, into using unrecyclated paper, THICK, use fuckin recyclated paper, put the tab on it, put a single quote ''please recyclate'' under it, very tiny, your flyer will still look ''cooler'' at it is, but more, you will show the respect you have for the mother scene . . can't you see, putting effort will just bring you back good trees. . you know a tree by its fruit. -JESUS mary, gonzo, jesus . . damn Only missing Lone Star and all the bible personnality are in my today story

do you need to put the "recyclable" logo on every sheet of paper ?
its common knowledge that you can recycle paper... you lost, get over it

printing reminders to recycle could save a shitload more paper in the long run, since, well, at least a few ppl just here didnt seem to know they were properly recyclable (if in fact they are)
and if it is true that all these flyers are recyclable, I wouldnt say anyone 'lost' anything. In fact Id say we learned something quite valuable =)

hun hun, the logo, you know the fuckin 3 arrow logo indicate that it is FROM recyclated fiber and as the thickness of a flyer. . anyhow, dont you noticed that gouvernemental flyer have that logo on them to indicate, to propose, to annonce, to lead. if we were obligated to use recyclate, better, if only recyclate material would exist, FOR SURE THE SIGN would be meaningless. . but thats not the case. get lost ? well, listen young man LE d comme dhab tu me fouette d

UNDER A MILLION DOLLAR.
