Art-making is something productive and non-harmfull (unless by art you mean stuff like the modern primitives who do performance are hanging off hooks and shit) This, on the other hand, is an unhealthy obsession with a group of fictional cartoon characters that is/has very obviously affected her health, judgement, and social development. |

She needs SERIOUS therapy and a healthier diet or she's going to die of a heart attack before she even hits 30. Did you see the amount of mayonaise she put on that pizza? Plus, it's a bacon pizza! Her cholesterol must be insanely high.
Her parents are negligent, and she has mental problems that need addressing. She's a danger to her own health and regularly puts herself into debt to satisfy her "hobby". Change TMNT to heroin and you've got the exact same thing: Someone who wastes money/goes into debt for something that does nothing positive for them, and lives a life that endangers their health and puts them at a much greater risk of dying from unnatural causes. |

shes proud and i respect that. i remember in high school getting beat up by idiot jocks for still playing with toys and it got around and all the popular girls started to make fun of me and called a little baby sissy and shit... i ended up getting really emotional and self concious because of this and ended up giving up most of my toys to charity because i wanted to be accepted by the other kids at school. i kept a few of my favorites under wraps and still played toys with my lil bro all through high school... but once i got a little older and found my self confidence i realised how stupid i was for attempting to give up something i loved so much. not to mention now that i'm older and look back at the ppl who once called me a looser... i can't help but to think the tables have turned. now i know life isn't about meeting up to the standards of others and its simply about taking pride in what you love nomatter how much other try to shoot you down. sure it might freak a few ppl out to see that at 28 years old my bedroom looks like peewee's playhouse with a better sound system and that i sleep with a big stuffed monkey... but hey... thats what makes me who i am. so yeah... i got nothing but respect for the TMNT lady i personally don't agree with the all pizza diet... but hey... whatever floats yer boat man!!! |

However, if we take her behavior and base it on a normal, functioning society, she has an unhealthy obsession. What she does alienates her from the rest of humanity. Her family does not seem happy. Her brother seems to find her sad. Look at their faces. She might be living her own fantasy but she's casting herself away from others so as to "live" with fictional people. Anyone who prefer fictional characters over real characters is clinically insane. There is no other way around. If I lived with characters like Marvel's Sabretooth in mind and I went and killed twenty people, would you consider that a proof of bravery and determination? Or are you simply arguing for the sake of arguing? |
