I feel ya... I don't agree with his tactics. I must admit I like, above all, to play the devil's advocate so to speak.
But although Bush has a lot to do with what's going on, you must admit that if a different Republican leader was put into power, the exact same thing would have happened. No one man, despite all his influence and manipulation and lies, can achieve what is happening alone. Someone mentioned that the army is voluntary, and that's a good point to keep in mind. Even if Bush is in it for profit, you can bet your ass that 90% of the soldiers over there are in fact fighting for freedom.
There's an expression that I think works well here.
"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."
You can deploy all your armies anywhere you want, but you can't make them shoot innocent people, not all the time anyway.
I'm feeling tuckered out right now..

True, like it was said in this very thread, there would probably be 10 guys ready to do the job.

About the military, there's no doubt they THINK they're fighting for freedom... no doubt.

Doesn't mean it's the case, and, like you said, it doesn't mean it's the good way to do it...

I don't know very much about psychological manipulation, but there's very "subtile" technics to encourage a group of person to fight for your cause... OH! here's one: grouping, soldiers are in regiments or sections of some sorts isn't it.. ??

Again, i'm not paranoiin' but i'm sure military organisations has a very efficient way to train soldiers, like our teachers did at school, like a boss motivate his employees etc...
I'm feeling sucré right now..

indeed, everyone's got their own agenda.
But someone's misfortune is someone else's fortune. Resources are limited and Bush wants them for himself, if we were from the States, we just might be on his side.

you don't need to convince an army to fight. An army doesn't think, it obeys orders. It is under the direct control of the executive - the president of the US is the commander of all american armed forces.

Whether you guys like it or not, America and Canada are brother nations. You might not always get along with your brother, but he is always your brother.

Canadians are the exact same thing as Americans. There are practically zero differences aside from what our money looks like and where our tax dollars specifically go. Culturally we are indistinguishable save for minute insignificant details.

Canadians, however, do have a horrible and potentially dangerous habit of ignorantly believing they are better than Americans, which ironically makes them more like the Americans they claim to hate. Depending on your point of view, Canadians and Americans are both equally amazing people, or equally shitty people.

I'd say english canadians in ontario are similar to americans from the north east, and canadians from the prairies are similar to americans from the midwest, and canadians from vancouver are similar to americans from the north west.

Canadians from quebec or the maritimes are pretty unique though.

He should be tied down and left naked, in the street, in a puddle of never-freezing salty water on a night like two nights ago. I wonder how long one would last. Less than an hour my guess is.

i think usa, canada and quebec are very different.. all my childhood i came often down here but i didn't realise that before i live here for good.

their mentality is very different... and it's different from a state to an other...

like in nyc, everybody understand me because everybody almost come from other country and have different accent!

but when i got to go to cleaveland... i have to repeat everything 3-4 times before i get understood...
and majority of people i was speaking were not even aware that we are 7 millions french speakers in america..
some people were even sure i was telling them a joke.

usa are def. very defferent than canada and quebec.

Sorry that you took it that way darling, I have a US citizenship actually... and so even though I can't remember what made you go off like that, I certainly didn't say anything that didn't apply to me too. In fact I am pretty sure I meant everyone as in EVERYONE. But mostly USer's because they can vote and because congressmen vote on behalf of what they are told by the general public. In a democratic system, there is no other way, yes there is corruption but only to a limited extent.
And sure money buys influence but it's in every one potential destiny to accomplish whatever they set their mind and actions to, blame is as fake as spam(the food): It's as physically real as ham, but it's way more BS that anything else. Did that make sense?
All I'm saying is that you can't just sit there and point the finger, get up and DO something about it, otherwise shut up! Too much talk in this society, tis nothing but hot air.
I'm feeling yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee right now..
