| Yeah, but dogs eat their own shit. Bums are a little more picky, though some times you couldn't tell by the smell of their breath. |

| yo, thiery n catherine, ur both kinda off.
like, the homeless are a kinda like a huge bunch of different people. just as diverse is the homefull.
i just find that the tendency is (as cloak pointed to) for the homeless to be incredibly sincere and genuine.
i mean, i can speak from experience and say that i have met some homeless people who were bad people, but it seemed that even the bad ones that i met had a certain forthrightness about their badness - it was like an unflinching (honest?) badness; kinda like the opposite of ad-martketing-executive badness, where the guy is putting on a total front while fucking you over.
of course, my experiences are just anecdotal, and we should probably form judgements about ALL homeless people right now. like, they're obviously not good for the economy. |

| MINDSET you're right. i sometimes am a little too utopian when i meet other vagabonds, and this lead me to a few shitty situations.
in any case, i let my animal instincts tell me if i am right or not about the person's honesty and it rarely fails. |

| "If your feeling down...Just Smile"
this is what a homeless person told me once, i had another bum tell this girl i was with almost the exact same thing, i used to hold that as one of the greatest things i'd ever heard...recently i've forgotten that, and that makes me sad and angry...my unflinching happieness with life seems to have been traded in for a more cycnical, MAKE me happy point of view, and i make myself sick. |

| I was with a few friends and we talked to a homeless guy for a while and he spoke about how he worked and made good money. Afterwards he threatened to punch a girl I was with in the face because she swore (the guy was swearing a lot himself though).
Recently I was talking to a probably schizophrenic hitchhiker waiting for a bus and he told me about how the black people at the terminus were like animals and following him around because he accidently walked into one of them on his way to the bus stop. He then went on about how he hated the way everyone in a crowd appears to be talking at once creating a very annoying ambiant sound but mentioned that at rush our when there are more people it is actually quieter because people tend to talk less when they are all crowded together. |

| Yo i know what that guy is talking about, the noise of so many people talking at once is almost unbearable to me, it could very well drive me bananers one [ day...ca ] fuck man, that noise is really fucking terrible |

| yeah, I understood what he was talking about completely, which was interesting. The way he talked to me so coherantly in between rambling to himself was also interesting. |
