it's bad when any troop, male or female, is killed. But these are the realities of the war.

Stephan Harper doesn't think we should lower our flag for our dead though.

people die every day in this country. 1 soldier dying justifies lowering the flag?

yeah mostly cause they died in service to the country, the kind of service the ones who decide is necessary should be doing but would never risk their lives for. I mean we all serve the country but we usually don't risk our lives in doing so and never directly for the governments cause.

sorry to go off topic, but to Host One: I haven't done pills in about a year, I also haven't been to any raves since last fall. So how about you stop judging people before you know them?
You're really mean with no reason, and I have no respect for that. Don't bothering replying, I would rather not hear any more negativity.

it's not the same thing at all.. a photocopy machine is part of normal day to day activity, getting shot by terrorists because your government threw you into the line of fire deserves massive appreciation and retribution. The guy using the photocopy machine is doing something necessary to keep the country and himself going, the guys in afghanistan are doing a favour for the benefit of the government's contact list.

another soldier killed 2 days ago :-(
--------------------------------------

We cant lower the flag each time a soldier die, at ww2 they didn't , they were 50 to die a day. I know is a great gratitude for them and I respect that but deads a frequent these days is boring to say but we cant just can keep the flag lower each day, it will have a too bad effect on the moral of the population and the troops.
