They see only weakness and inadequacy in people diffrent than them due to a personal need to feel superior/perfect. The only example I could find is related to racism, but replace racism with any kind of intolerance based on prejudice and it holds true:

why don't both groups of people on this thread agree to what the other group is trying to say, cause they are both right in one way or another...why don't the anti agree that not ALL meth users become headsofcrack because it isn't an all powerfull, instantly life ruining drug...when used properly and with good sense...and why don't the pro, first get over the fact that meth CAN be given to kids, it's not very common, but it can be, get over it, and also agree to the fact that it IS a harmful drug if abused and used frequently, and then both groups then decide to take each others comments not as a critisism of people habits but as a social comment OR SOMETHING... |

| Coolness: 685730 | see, I fully agree with that. The problem is, if you look back, it's the NON meth users (user?) that are intent on sparking up shit. The meth heads don't go around saying "You suck because you don't do meth. I hate you because you don't do dugs like I do. I lose respect in you because you don't do jib" etc. So after that, the "users" try and defend their use because the ignorance of the non-users is based around a few cases and a bunch of stereotypes that they don't fit in to and that are pretty offensive to even be associated with. It all goes back to the non-users wanting to feel superior and better about their chosen way of life because they don't want to accept other people's chosen way of life and seem to thrive solely on making other people feel miserable about the choices that they made in their own life. |

| Coolness: 141505 | I'm not defending the drug at all, it's my no.2 most hated drug but i don't think anyone has the right to bash you because you use the drug either, hells i hate a large amount of drugs, but almost all the people i know use them, yet they're still my friends, my close friends used to abuse coke like it was nothing, i used to smoke juicy's with them just so they'd shut up about me not doing coke, but now, one of my friend's nose has an enormouse crack in it and his brain is covered in blotches of dead cells, i've seen the x-rays and brainscans...i never bitched at him, i told him that he'd have health risks, he didn't listen now look what he's got to deal with, he's still my friend, and he still does coke, and i still tell him, doesn't matter,,,i've smoked buritos once, got SO fucked i had no idea what to do with myself, so i don't do the drug...people respect my desisions, and if they don't they can take a long lick off my nut sack and enjoy it...hell, my friends still bug me about the days when i didn't drink or smoke weed...i don't think anyone here is REALLY trying to defend the drug, i think they're just trying to defend themselvs from the constant bashing they get all the time... |

However re~posting the facts, and our opinions about how terribly addictive and destructive it is can/might help someone from falling into the Death Trap that is Crystal Methamphetamine. and this is the Drug PREVENTION forum... talking about it and spreading information is the only tool/weapon we have for drug prevention... since as you said... "It is your choice, your body, your life." and as much as i respect everyones freedom of choice/speak since its one of the only true freedoms we have. I REFUSE to sit by and watch a dirty disgusting drug ruin someone i care about... since ive already seen it FAR too many times. |
