Fairies refered to any creature who came form the land of Tir n'a Nog. Tir n'a Nog was a dimension parallel to this one where we entered when we dreamed, or when we experienced true artistic inspiration/trance. So fairies for many, refered to what we saw in those dreams. The people of Ireland believed themselves to be decended from a tribe called the Tuatha de Danaan, who were were "fairies"(as well as giants). So giants were still fairies. |

But then it turns out it apparently snowed in the middle of the night like a week ago or something.. so I`m outta luck. Yeah, there`s a load of fairy myths... it really depends what you wanna call `fairies` I mean, if you wanna include elves and nymphs and all that in fairy-dom... then you`re opening up a massive fucking book full of lore etc etc... |
