or for the review ! music : omg im a gabber headz all the way but man i rediscovered the violence of frenchcore sickness set was fucking nice i generaly dont like frenchcore cuz sumetime its slow and not rytmic but those tracks he played and fucking just perfect 200 bpm i danced all the way to the end nice nice nice milles pattes , not realy into hhc anymore but was nice to hear some clasic and new stuff too phosphor and justrich haha those crazy mofo ! love the set !!!1 nice track list lots of new stuff that i dint know ( im way to much into gabber lol lost track of what's new in freeform ) then i left at tipsy T set :P humm the place : as usual gravity is good not to hot sound is good USULY ! but i dunno why no one tryed to fix the probleme seemed prety easy to me , probably a compresor probleme cuz speakers were cliping alot and the compresor was cuting on the bass avery 15 second not to burn or over heat .. anyway it was allright for me :P and that it thats all a great litle nite for me :) |

one thing I find very strange about freeform/hhc/hc and others is that the build ups always sound great but the peaks never sound crisp enough. For example, when the song builds up to right about 2 seconds before the music hits again, there are generally a couple bass drum hits or some fast percussion or some rising noise. Welllll that 'darkest before dawn' time was always very loud, very crisp, sounded awesome,,, and then the whole of the peak would start playing and it would lose it's production quality, almost as if all the sounds were overloading. I LOVE goa and psytrance because of how clear and dead-on accurate every hit is. I think I noticed this more in the second room, the quality of the sound just sounded off, again like the whole track was overloading the speakers and cancelling it's own goodness out. And as much as I can appreciate Happy hardcore, y'all gotta be careful with HOW high pitched you let them get, I had to get off the dance floor cause my ears started pulsing with pain during some songs. The vibe was great though and it was really cool to see a whole different spectrum of the rave scene. I met up with a bunch of friends there and chilled for as long as I could stay awake! I guess my final impression is that in order to fully enjoy a freeform/hhc party, you need drugs. There's no way anyone can dance on drum'n'bass bpms without LOTS of energy. Thanx promoters! and thanx everyone who showed up, another great party to say 'fuck you' to anyone who says the scene is dead. (It's is funny how people say 'the scene is dead' year after year after year... GO TO A RAVE for fuck's sake) |
