personal attacks.. now thats a great rebuttal. lol

i wasnt attacking you. I WAS using sarcasm yes. But that is to make that point that your reply seemed weak and you seem to be highly influenced by your dad's perception of America. And again, one person and/or the experience of one person doesnt define 300 million people.

"anyway the best for americans is for them to find ways to educate themselves about whats going on in the world and they can change it..."

Basdini: I totally agree :) there are too many uneducated americans..

equally valid points. her reply was to simply reject my point with sarcasm.

becaues he lived there for more years than me.. that makes him more of an american? What relevance does the number of years have to do with anything? Guess what? My dad lived there for 50 and my grandparents for 80.. So?

And what exactly did i say that was idiotic?
The only point i am trying to prove here is to be openminded and dont judge all people by where they are born or their nationality. If thats an idiotic point to defend, then i'm happy to be an idiot.

yeah, how bout we not be making assumptions as to my "influences". I disagree with my dad on a lot of things, he can even be considered a conservative while i hold much lefter views. You called into play the "i've LIVED in the US", i simply threw that back at you by bringing up my dad who's lived there for twice as long. (what a crazy idea, using similar arguments to counter)

my views are based on my own experiences, just so you know. i've met and spoken to plenty of americans, and know that their views on guns are totally wack.

it was YOU who called into play the whole "I've lived there for 18 years" crap, just cause you lived there doesn't mean you're the only one who can know the overall american mentality.

I've had the exact same argument with him before. When he can't explain something, he says his dad said it and that's the end-all of it. Some fancy degree on a wall makes his dad The All-Knowing Expert on Everything In Existance At The Moment.

No, it wasn't relevant then, and it never will be. Another person's knowledge or oppinion is never something you should blindly rely on for anything. Proper knowledge and oppinions are aquired/formed through studying various sources, anything else is called being gullible and/or miss-informed.

dude, i was calling on the fact that she said she has lived in the US for 18 years, something completely irrelevant. I threw and equally irrelevant point back as a counter argument.

it's that simple.

ya and ive met plenty of americans that have good views against guns..
thats because not every american is the same.. and that is my only point. Dont judge an entire country based on a few people. Not EVERY american is an idiot.

crap?
i was saying it to prove, that just because you had a bad experience with Americans, doesnt mean that ALL are gun toting maniacs. What about my experiences? its all a balance.

Am i saying that there arent idiots in the US? hell no.. im just saying that not everyone there is an idiot. How can you possibly argue against that? tell me. Some AMericans are ignorant and base their views on other countries based on hearsy and their own expierence with .0001 percent of the population of that country. And by your replies, you are no better. ALthough i understand why people would be so hateful towards the US, (it is understandable for obvious reasons) it still doesnt make it right, and in my opinion its still ignorant.
even if 60 percent of the US is "stupid" in your opinion, what about the other 40 percent? That 40 percent consists of millions of people. You are gonna judge millions based on other idiots just because they are born within the same borders?

"simple as that"

neoform just wants a way to be prejudice against americans without looking like a total moron for doing so...

common it's easy to hate on americans just like it's easy to hate on the new york yankees (cause they both win all the time !)

we all know that american hegemony in the world is comming to an end, that is why things are so fucked now,

you can't think of americans as evil or stupid it's just counter productive to the situation,

besides, some americans are very attractive... like elka here...
