Hmm... all promoters callign one guy to get venues? Wasn't part of a promoter's job to find a venue (and an original one to)?

Also, raves on same night sucks. 1) There arent enough local talents (i mean, truly talented) to fill 3 raves. 2) Promoter splits a thin crowd.

when i threw my last party, i scheduled almost 9 months in advance. I called every promoter i knew, and tried to meet the others to tell them. Psychotrop still went ahead and threw a party with Weezer the same night. Also, they told me to fuck off in a very unpolite way. dicks. I didnt even break even (granted that the planned ticket revenu would only break me even, and that i didnt plan to make money), in fact, i (and partners) lost alot and it just sucked our will and energy to continue

But what Jack means, is that since all the promoters have a lack of cooperation, and throw parties on the same date, they all then call Jack for a venue, and ten expect to pay only 250-500$ for it, when everyone is calling hm for the exact same date. I mean, there has to be a sense of decency, and some kind of organisation. Most of these promoters now dont have venues and are still selling their tickets, and busting Jack's balls for something they should have looked a little deeper into, or just looked a couple of weeks later to throw their party.

Im all for diversity, but this is common sense.

I cannot agree more. However everyones situation is different when you really know whats going on. No one is busting Jacks balls for anything. At least not I. Jacks a nice guy who is trying to help thats all...and yah its a fucking stress for all of us. Especially those who have had dates set MONTHS ago and then ppl decided to throw parties the same day as you instead of perhaps trying to work together? And when you have a venue but then get fucked over by the owner and u lose it AFTER u start selling tickets...lessons to be learned...no one is to blame. Too many parties...whats going on. :/

how are promoters supposed to work together??

there's no special promoter connection that ties everyone together so they can collaborate..?

the promoters don't need a union.. they need to communicate amongst themselves... perhaps through that they can improve the scene.
It;s so fuckin' hard though because we live in a society that does not promote co-operation perse.
I know you know neoform. I may have gone out on a limb though.

bah, that's why they invented contracts.. so if people try to fuck you over.. you can say ha ha no you don't. BUt, personally, I wouldn't want to go settle the issue in court.

If JAck, whoever that is, is experiencing the too heavy burden of people waiting to the last minute to make bookings all on the same day... I can see some ways of reducing the problem. But I can see how tricky it is too. Because...why.. cause just because you feel there needs to be a change, you're not neccessarily gonna get one.

promotion needs a change. Cooperation is key. With DJ'S,MC'S,VJ'S AND OWNERS!!!. Everyone wanting money and doing it in such a fashion that none is too blame is weak. Cooperation brings in money, everyone should be involved.
note personal opinion:P

thanks guys i've was on break for a while anyways, just so everyone knows all the parties have venues and they will all be amazing. and it was me who told everyone that i have venues, and i love helping everyone, just that when time cuts close i stress for you guys even though it's not my party, and especially when the venues i have are triple booked everyweekend and the others are just too expensive for some... anyways the reason for the outburst was shit on one weekend there are like 4 or 5 psy trance parties. midimiliz chronika , gms at aria, and volcano, some other one and the other worst (party that came in two weeks ago) all on the 29 and 30, and the week before hybrid with 3 point turn vs authentik... i mean shit man i've been shoalin rave training for years since i was 14 and now i'm 25, and i don't think i'll be able to handle all that, but not in hell will i miss hybrid , G M fucking S fuck wooo hoooo (i'm dancing i'm dancing) and midimiliz.

There's nothing to get.

Just because you're one way, doesn't mean others have recognized that for themselves. We're living in a system here.. it's not excusable though.

Nothing is fair. Nothing ought to be the center of our existence. It is.. But it's not.

jack: instead of gettin frustrated, make the best out of the situation... youre being harrassed for the venue? fuck, bump up the billio! promoter A calls you and expects to pay pennies? tell him promoters XYZ are ready to pay you twice as much.. and when A breaks for that, call XYZ and tell'em you now got a better offer and ask if they wanna bump theirs... blah blah blah you know how it goes. If you got excessive demand, supply value is goin up like smoke of a sizzlin ganja.
