"yeah but there should be a new generation to replace the old..."

You mean the 14 years olds that y'all started to hang out with back 2 years ago (when you were 20?!?!) and that turned into crackheads coz they didn't learn to say NO yet and went down the drain with you.

Now our generation is too old for this shit and keeping this scene alive, the ones that were supposed to replace us are in rehab or jaded (at 16) and they got nobody to pass the knowledge to.

The others in clubs and afterhours are just a bunch of coke heads, so it's t-dot happening all over again.

So the 'underground' electronic scene is grasping for few last breaths before it chokes and dies.

The scene in montreal that you have known that is.

Unfortunately nobody listened to us when we were saying that you were dooing waaaaaay too many drugs.

Now remember the lives you ruined beside yours, that was the best part!

It was quite entertaining!

Eldar: You should have gone to an afterhour recently before doing a statement like that.

There's 2000 ppl that come out to Circus every Friday and saterday... and I don'T see a whole bunch of coke heads. Alot more kids on speed. I have to admit there's that 5% junk head ratio that applies as usual. But it's not a junky community.

I've personnaly been doing hard shit once every 2 months in a party.

Come out to the club.
Too bad you don't come out when we have DnB.

ooh please don't compare stereo and IDJ.

and don't tell me i'M there for the bling cause dude, you got the wrong girl there, boi.

hmmm...what to say...well, I can't argue with the older-hang with friends @ home or drink hole, but I will admit that the crowds have faded quite a bit in the "underground" "scene", I myself have been a victim of "Stayhome-idge" quite some many times in the past year, but still make it out to events that I really want to hit up. I'd have to agree on the afters sucking the newbs too, but thats been a long time running... I dunno, as long as people are ok with only seeing certain dj's on rotation and the occassional guest at afters, that could be the majority future...but I gather that there probably will always be a small amount of people that will be willing to shell out some cash for an "underground" type event, which showcases music in a different way...it's the age old battle of glam and glit Vs dirty street grit...or something like that.

Now as far as being under 50 and without any life threatenning disease, yall have no reason to be jadded, so personally I think you should eat those "raw/real" life views and shit out some happy, sweet smelling, flowers of joy and spread your god given right to happiness!

Ufot-worse things that bad attitudes and raw vegetables...

the underground scene is not dead, it just doesn't reespond to apathy. if you look for it, you will find it. don't expect it to come knocking at your door.

House is God.

And I TOTALLY agree with Amalgam. Travelling is an amazing way to get out of the city, apreciate new scenes/things, and when you get home you're all the more apreciative of your own city.

new generation listen to hip hop and rnb...

here in sherbrooke hip hop is very popular as for the electronic scene, it's almost non existant. If i didn't organize event here they would be no scene at all... hip hop rule.

I think that now, there's so much thing to do(rave, after, club, pik-nik, staying at home in front of your
computer, renting movie, show,etc..) that it's gonna be very difficult to fill events.
As for me, i still love to go out after all those years...! :)
