its really not that far fetched. they killed their own fucking predisent- you don't think they could pull off a fake video tape? gimme a break.

Even if you put the JFK assasination aside... What about Pearl Harbour?...What about the Nasa moon landing conspiracy?... the list goes on. And some conspiracy theorists even say that The Al Queda itself was originally setup by the CIA along with the DOD & Mosad in order to create a global fear, and consequently a need to eliminate that fear of (pseudo) terrorism by any means necessary...

Is this related to the fact that Osama Bin Laden was trained by, and on the payroll for the CIA?

Probably, but Please note that I am simply acknowledging the posibility that this could have been the original plan to gain the votes which would in turn justify any retalitory action by the United States should they want to.... invade a country that (apparently) supports terrorism let's say...

And let's say it got out of hand and the threat of terrorism became real...

Why would it matter now anyways?... it wouldn't because now there probably are enough "genuine" Al Queda members who really are american-haters (and who can blame them)... Bush invades Iraq because of the apparent nuclear weapons being held by Sadam Hussein but once the dust clears and the list of innocent civilian cassualties has been written up, people neglect to realize that since there were no weapons found, the attack itself was unjustified... but of course that doesn't matter anymore. The only thing that matters is what comes next.

Fear = A way to manipulate a global panic in order to gain political support to justify any and all actions (including a war against the muslim world) that need to be taken in order to neutralize the (apparent) threat.

Now what the hell is the 'Al Queda training manual' doing on the homepage for the United States Department of Justice ?

K... so that wasn't long. The news are talking about the gay marriages again and how the White House is putting pressure on Congress to back him up.

Is that it? Have we settled the prisonner abuse so easily?

Every empire must fall. The US is no different. They will most likely be the empire that does to "Freedom" what the Soviets did to "Communism". China's economy and industry have put it in a really unique position, much the same position as the USA was in in the 1930s when Germany started picking on, well, eeveryone in their neighbourhood. And Japan started getting all mentrual in the south Pacific. What will be interesting is who will be playing what part now that China is getting the lead role as "Super Power 200X". North Korea, India, Pakistan, Israel, Japan, Britain, France, and Russia will all be featured in different capacities. What really really sucks is that I think the good Ol' U S of A will be playing the part of Hitler's Germany. An administration driven by arrogance and fueled by fear and hated by most of the world community. A force that would only possibly be stopped by the world collective. Michael Moore's new flick Farenheit 9/11 is about this. And given relationship, proximity, and global importance of Canada, I'd say we're living in France circa 1939 and our neighbours are getting antsy.
How far would you defend Montreal against America?

Oh shit... you know how the world spins on itself? Isn't it weird that the "Number 1 country" title goes around... was in Russia, France, UK, USA now and... in the futur it'll be China with it's already put down some economy changes to assimilate capitalism. USA is just waitting for North Korea to attack the south and has even positionned a few US soldiers on the parallel. The true meaning of the US soldiers on the N-S Korea border is that these soldiers are used as a war "trigger". Once the news will hit every television in the USA about a north korean attack killing US soldiers, the gouvernment will HAVE to attack back, right? Why do you think they don't want shit with North Korea? They're already in deep shit with Iraq.

I can see why the USA would be the next world conquerer (Iraq?)... I'm sure world leaders know about this already.
