[ en.wikipedia.org ]

"In the United States, Smarties are a type of artificially fruit-flavored candy produced by Ce De Candy, Inc., from 1949 through the present. They are marketed in Canada under the brand name Rockets, to avoid confusion with Nestlé Smarties."

So I guess the Nestlé Smarties are not offered in the States, only M&Ms.

Alright alright, so poutine is spreading. Actually, I had a poutine in Toronto once, but it was SOOO nasty. They really didn't know how to make it. lol. ...Hey, do they put hot sauce in their poutine in Mexico? =P

I know they have poutine in Shanghai. Shindy had one there.

But yeah, there's no chocolate smarties in the US. I used to have to export them to my American friends :)
I'm feeling repomanish right now..

They even have a Russian tsar named Poutine. Sorry, I meant fearless leader.

So wait a second, how the hell does this work?

Ok let me get this straight. There are currently like fourteen videos of 13 year old kids smoking "smarties" and it's become some sort of fad. It doesn't actually involve smoking so much as playing with the finely ground powder that is like so much candy crack to the younguns, but it doesn't get you high at all, nor are you smoking it.

All in all it actually sounds like a great alternative to chasing the dragon.
