I have plenty of web design E-books
but you know you cant always be reaing a book on comp a real book has the benefit of being portable, bookmarkable, highliteable and shit, you can even hit people on the head with it!!! web design books are dirt cheap and in my opinion are worth it for a newbie ;) |

yup reading a whole book on a screen is really tiring and unefficient... even for research articles, which are usually 10-20 pages long, people are used to print them to read them |

Free hosts won't normally give you enough space to have videos on your site. You wouldn't normally need to use any scripts to have a gallery unless you want the users to be able to upload their own videos. |

Hidra's snippet allows the user to download the video, whereas moondancer's one displays the video on the page provided the user has the right plugin installed on his browser (and also download the video more or less directly) |

There is actually no plug-in required. You might want to add this in the embed tag though: hidden=true(or false) autostart=true(or false). |

i never needed a plug-in for this before but I only use it for mp3's and flash files. I know you don't need a plug-in for mp3's at least but for videos I guess maaaybe you do. I kind of wish I had a video to upload so I can test that. It's better to add a player anyways if you want buttons and are too lazy to make them but they are still slow to load and I wouldn't use one if I had the option. Most people would though, I'm sure. |

sign up and get a free web adress with Google Page Creator....there's nothing easier for creating a webpage
you have about 100mb of space, you don't need to know html, it's realy easy to use and basic, you can upload your movies, pics , whateva... All you need is to have a "gmail" account (you can have someone who already has an account ot send you an invitation) once you have that you can sign up to the Google page creator and wait less then a week to get your free webpage. |
