I enjoy downtown for it’s shopping, museums, and everything being relatively close, but I wouldn't want to live there. I enjoy trees and grass as part of the landscape and not used as decoration. Living in DG wasn't too bad... it was pretty dingy where I was staying and parking was a bitch and a half...Meh if you live in the West and you have a car, its 20 mins downtown, boo hoo. I enjoy peace and quiet, clean streets, and hookers making house calls and not walking on corners, drug addicts staying in the confines of houses and not on the street begging for change.

I hate people, so isolation is where it’s at.

I will most definitely be glad when I leave Montreal in a few years though.
