Find a foreign student whos visa has expired. ( s/he wants to stay here but either must go to skool or join the military).

Marry that person at City Hall. Bring friends to vouch that the love is true.

sell that "Canadian citizenship" for 3000$.

well yeah,

thanks for the grand tour of 640 highway...
i knew something was wrong when there was no street lights and just dark, eerie trees.

when we were in Terrebonne, my speed kicks in and i started to take over, pulling the map out and i got us to Level finally.

Security was so tight, they found drugs on me i didn't even know i had . I was surprised about the low turnout, but hey Laval isn't exactly very accessible.

Still, overall the music was awesome, stayed in the main room mostly, dance alot. The smoke machine has to go....

The only downpoint was my lift left early ( 7am )and i miss all the nice breaks in the 2nd room. (I tend to stay in one room).

Alright im gonna give a try!

i always thought dreams were windows to other realities. You sneak a peek on your life in a alternate quantum parallel universe.
Everytime you dream, you see your other selves, cuz somehow ur linked unconsciously. When it seems u have the same dream, its cuz ur already visited that specific reality/world.

heh... what trance musik was 10 years ago is dance musik at the dome today...

haha just kidding.
Seriously, the only teckno song i know that made it 'big' was Josh Wink "Highest State of Consciouness". It was so popular back in 1994 (at raves). 2 years later , i hear it from car, mix 96, peel pub....

The mass are more aware of what Trance/techno moreso than yesteryears, thus a wide market. Also mentioned previously in the post above, there are a number of so called rave CD compilation filled with cheezy euro dance. I think the anti trance hate comes from the popularity it holds. Just as we were making
fun of clubbers; Bouge de La, Rayjunior, 514 popularize the rave culture which was so underground and intimate.

I will always like Trance (mostly old skool), i grew up on it...As for HHC, there was no happy, it was just Hardcore. But when i went into the 2nd room during Typsy set, i did learn to enjoy it.

call it watever u desire; video lotery machine, video poker machine. It's a drug. I loss about 60$ in 15 min, money coulda spend on paying skool loans or on real substances or even renting movies.

If they weren't everywhere, i wouldn't have this desire. So far im even in winnings n losings. It started small, but then u get ambitious. Its weird, i actually feel the addiction. The only way i fight this, is i either avoid all bars or i dont carry money around.

old skool ravers;

pioneers ravers who absented themselves from the scene n comes back... has no idea who are the djs n the new type of music categories n the all these promoters. Scare n alone, crawls back n hibernates for another year. =)

As for the SeaLions, i did see dat documentary.
Its crazy! There's this australian fat bird speci who the females are so rares that the male get so work up, he rapes a dead seagull. And u thought Discovery was boring.

it was held at the sugar shack. Dat venue has been almost used for a decade now. (sigh) =/
nothing change, but ithink they remove a picnic table outside.

well im sure everyone been there at one point or another, u know the size, the ventilation, etc.. Nothing like having ur pores open up to the heat only to have it filled with dust from hundreds of happy stomping feets, then cool off by the droplets from the sweat condensing on the ceiling.

As for the Dj's highlight, Yahel n Johan Gielen tore the place apart, the crowd fed them really good energy. i dance alot until i got muscle cramp on my calf.

As for the sound, it was decent, but fuck, u go next to the speakers and ur eardrums would get smash. not good.

Overall, the party was really good because Yahel n Johan play a great set.
» Trey replied on Mon May 19, 2003 @ 3:35pm. Posted in So what exactly happened to PLUR ?.
trey
Coolness: 102740
well i been partying just b4 the concept of PLUR came into raves in forms of flyers. I might still have it. Our group of friends didn't think much of it or join into spreading the idea. We just wanted to have fun and listen and dance to electro.
Do i expect all ravers to be plur? no
Do i expect all human to be decent? no

It was just a idea that never really took off imo.

As for special K killing the scene... well all i think of now..at Fairview.( yeah we were the west island crew), a fellow raver told me never, never to try it. It made you agressive. After all this time, i still haven't touch the stuff.

Lastly, at a drum n base party in '94 held in a werehouse behind Village des Valeurs near Namur metro. I think it was called THIS and THAT. 2 american candy were searching for K, but i told them no one ( no dealers ) were willing to provided, sell that stuff; this was before the bikers absolute control. Isnt it weird, people not willing to sell a drug that would theorically demoted PLUR, then again no one really care about conserving the scene from dilluting into mass commercial enterprise.

it depends on the business model u want to base ur porn page.

Do u want to offer free gallery (pics) and make money by promoting pay sites ( banners ) n get a flat fee or a % per membership u sent from the pay sites.

OR

u want to want to make ur own pay sites which you provide ur own original contents, by hiring models or buying eclusive original contents.

if ur serious, u can make alot of money. As for content, people will buy anything.

Let`s talk about heat first since it is everyone favorite subject.

when u go to a rave, what do u expect, air condition?, sweet cool air breeze?. whether there was 500 or 700 people, it is gonna get hot. i was ok and i was wearing a sport jacket.

the music; it was pwetty good, but the sound system really suck. I like to support locals DJS but i like to hear/see some outside talent.

too bad about the electro`dnb room, music down for too long and it was way way too small.

the crowd was cool, there was good vibe.

here`s a rant;
i see now how these days, there are commercial raves and "underground raves". There was a time when such terms were not in used. In fact, raves used to be call werehouse parties.

People who bitch about parties these days, u don't know how lucky u are. Every month, there are generous amount of parties in every flava.
Don't take things for granted...

b4 the time of 514, Sona and all other afterhours, Ray junior, the defunct Channel, we waited for at least a month for a party/rave whether is drum n bass, hardcore (why did happy was added?), trance, we would all go.

Maybe people are too spoiled; expect too much from promoters. yea promoters are suppose to get
better with accomendations with every party they throw. but it is the People dat makes the party.

Yea, the vibe, the good time come from the crowd and the DJs feed off that. I been to a party at a crumbling, abandonned building with no bathrooms, no light, no electricity, no ventilation. All there was 2 turntables, a mixer, a amp, like 4 speakers, and a gas generator. Still people had a good time.

9. DIVERSITY
how can ur party flyer be different?

This one grab my attention cuz the flyer can be detached to form
DJs trading cards,

Fantasia III, NYC, 97/08/02

8. LOCATION
Promoters should not put location of the rave unless
they secure 200% sure. Last minute change in venue
("ahem") diminish the expectation and vibe.

Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI, best venue i've been to.
Casper, 93/10/31

7. DESIGN
Simple, futuristic, eye-catching, easy to identify (that it is a rave flyer.)

Sputnik VI, NYC 95/10/07

6. BALANCE
overall flyer should stick to a theme. Strong design
in all aspect.(dj list, info, artwork, et cetera)

friday nights @ karma, LA 97/01/XX

4. FONTS
No one will go to the party if they can't read it.

Westbam, Sonic, Der Drite Raum were great. BT only play 1/2 hour =(.
Sir.Cus, Montreal , 96/06/22

3. IMAGINATION
