"Sharp Sphere"? Seriously? That's the best oxymoron I've read in ages. How can something with no edges be sharp? |

Deadmau5, Skrillex, Avicii, Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto.. Soulless corporations latched on to the most generic sound they could find and promoted the shit out of it, and then like everything hollywood/the music industry touches, they sexualized it because that's the lowest common denominator for the human race; everyone wants to fuck, so promote shit with sexy girls and you'll attract all the mouthbreathers with no interest in history or culture and that just want to go out and get laid. |

From what I remember (it's been ages since I've done anything) I always found MDA to hit a lot harder, but the comedown didn't leave you feeling like shit for as long.. Usually only a half a day or so, whereas with mdma I always had like 3-4 day long comedowns where I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. |

It's exactly ebay and amazon that's causing shit like this, though. People come into the stores to see the products, but then go online to get them because you can usually get things cheaper online, what with them not having to hire as much staff; cashiers, security, clerks, etc.. It's stupid, but it does make a tiny bit of sense.. |

They need to put some harsher restrictions on it. Like teaching your kids to shoot, for example. If you want to fire a gun, you get a license. Period. You don't let a 10 year old take the car on the highway, and you shouldn't be showing them how to use a firearm until they're old enough to be properly trained in how to use one, at which point they should have courses to pass, just like everyone else that wants a license. |

yup. well they want to send people there to start a colony, so yes it's suicide in a way, but it could also be the start of something much more amazing.. As long as they don't name it Hadley's Hope... |

Generally with Bandcamp you upload the original WAV/AIFF and from there they encode it to lower/different formats. |

I loved season 1 but I watched a couple episodes of season 2 and found it totally boring.. I'd have loved a direct continuation of season 1, not what we ended up getting (unless at some point after the first few it does become a direct sequel, but I didn't get the impression that was going to happen from interviews with the cast/crew) |
» Screwhead replied on Sat Jan 19, 2013 @ 4:28pm. Posted in the balance of nature does not exist.... |
Humans are born from nature and from the planet itself, therefore everything done/made by humans is natural. Skyscrapers, cars, plastic, are all products of nature. You wouldn't say that a bird's nest is unnatural, you wouldn't say a termite's mound is unnatural, you wouldn't say that a rabbit's burrow is unnatural. They disrupt their environment and change the landscape from what it was before they came along. All we do is just another part of nature. Hell, if anything, our preserving of species going extinct, our trying to stop the rainforest from being developed, THAT'S unnatural, because we're just doing what we do as humans, with others trying to get in the way and interfere with our process. Species go extinct all the time, with ZERO human involvement, but some people think we should take the blame for everything. But extinction is just another part of nature, just like we are. |

well, the military time would do a good job of weeding out the nutcases. At the very least, the people who own guns would be taught to respect them and how to handle them properly, which would do a lot more good than bad. Some strict laws need to be put down for that to work though, like, literally, *ONLY* the gun owner is allowed to use the gun. You can't teach your kid/wife/friend to shoot cans on the weekend. Basically make it so that the owner of the gun is held 100% responsible for any and everything done with their firearm, including getting jail/license revoked for letting someone who hasn't gone through the mandatory service use one of your firearms for any reason. Either way, one step in the right direction is better than a step backwards, no matter how small the step. |

The example I keep seeing brought up on Facebook is that picture of a teacher in Israel with a gun and a classroom full of kids, that if teachers in the US were armed "like they are in Israel" that this sort of thing wouldn't happen. What they seem to forget is that Israel has mandatory military service for all Israeli citizens. That teacher knows more about guns and how/when to shoot them than 90% of non-military/police trained NRA members. I figure taking a hint from either Japan or Israel is a great way for the US to move forward. Either like Israel; anyone who wants to own guns has to go through a mandatory 2 to 3 year military service. Or like Japan; A few weeks of training on how to use guns and how to shoot, clean them, etc., as well as a mandatory psychiatric evaluation every 3-5 years. Guns have to be stored separately from ammunition, both in locked containers, both with different combinations or different keys so that you can't get to both with just one thing, and yearly surprise inspections to make sure the rules are being followed. |
