In the spirit of having a more 'soulful' act than the conventional K.O., I prepared a special set of 'feel good' drum n' bass as an alternative to my conventionally harder, energetic sound. Expect plenty of funky fresh tunes from the likes of Matrix, Logistics, Brookes Brothers as well as some groovy classics from artists such as Konsta, Electrosol System & Benny Page. This one is going to be haught!

Dope night. Great sound system to play on, had a few errors due to wiring the stuff slightly differnt than what i'm used to, but nothing that wasn't easily corrected. Big thanks to the Forward Crew for having us. Huge shame that Fred's laundry skills are not up to par with my own but hey it happens :P and at least there's also tonight at Mystique for those who oculdn't make it out on Thursday. I'll put up my pictures soonish - I'm not entirely sure how and usually leave it up to Christine... Sorry to hear you lost your shade Matthieu, that sucks!

So I've gotten kinda tired of all the mp3s I've been listening to for the past three years and need some new tunes. I signed up for beatport but I gotta admit the selection of freeform, hhc, and hardcore that meets my taste is kinda meager. Suggestions anyone to find free tracks or pay tracks?

It's mostly hard dnb varying from a dark neurofunky vibe to a dirty mashy jump-up vibe and I threw a dash of freeform in towards the end for good measure. The second mix, SPICY CHORIZO I did a couple months ago and is also mostly hard dancefloor dnb again varying from darker elements to more jump-uppy elements although this time no freeform in the fray. There's a tracklisting for Spicy Chorizo now and as for the first one I'm still working on it - I seem to have lost a couple of the records and don't know the names of the tracks... oops. Any feedback is always appreciated!

Awesome night! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported and made the night happen. Wicked sets from all the DJs, I particularly enjoyed Galaxy's 'take it all over the place set'. Thanks to Courtney and Brandon for filling in the door for us last minute. Thanks to the Social for hosting us and being good hosts although any events done there in the future we're going to try and negotiate some better drink prices. Special thanks to Bassfacial for allowing us to host an afterparty which when I left at 8:30 in the morning was still kicking - I hope you finally got some sleep Marc :) Much thanks to the Cruise Control Crew for the sound system and to Yann for helping us set up - we wouldn't have gotten things kicked off in time without you. Biggups to Bassic for being my brother from another mother and making the night awesome and for getting the evening going on just three hours of sleep and yet still keeping it going well into the late morning the next day, truly a machine this man. And thanks to anyone and everyone else who helped make the night an awesome one that I might have left out here.

I had a blast and can't wait for the next one which coincidentally will be this Saturday at La Mystique on Stanley in between Da Maisonneuve and St. Catherine. Awesome party! Interstellar vibes (except for those bratty thugs trying blowing shit up in the beginning - they'll get a painful dose of PLUR next time :P) but seriously, tons of fun, smiles, interesting memories and sick sound. Great sets from everyone in both rooms from what I was hearing. NIce to see lots of old faces coming back together as well as all the new ones. Huge thanks to everyone involved in putting this together, and coming out to support the scene - y'all made it happen! Massive biggup to Sacha for bringing us all together and for the massive promo and organization on the party details. And of course Super Huge RESPECT to Marc for being the backbone of the Twisted Bass Krew and for forgoing days without sleep to make sure that the party was the best it could be.
