Par contre clown, c'est important que les DJs soient visibles et puissent interagir avec la crowd, ce qui est un peu plus difficile dans le DJ booth du Gravity. Je suggère de peut-être ajouter au moins un spot d'éclairage quelconque (pas trop fort) sur le DJ pour que les gens sur le dancefloor puissent le voir comme il faut. Je crois que ça ajouterait beaucoup au niveau de l'interaction entre le DJ et la crowd. ;)

Thanks Vinnie :) I'm really looking forward to play at Rewire and then at Electro Shock! :) The main difference between the two events is the fact that Electro Shock will focus more on Electro and Breaks. Two good nights ahead of us for sure. :)

Actually, when I play out, I play a lot more in an hour. My "online" sets are more of a listening experience, so I let a bigger chunk of each tracks play. I might record a set sometimes that gives a better idea of how I play out at parties... ;)

It seems like I can't spend more than a few months without recording a new breaks mix, so here we go...

Thanks Seb. It is indeed my biggest booking up to here. I'm quite excited about it. By the way, Tones, I'm sure that you must know that organizing an event of this magnitude involves a LOT of expenses (not just the DJs), so even with a line-up of locals (very solid locals + one BIG trance headliner), at 35$, you get more than what you pay for.

Because of an overwhelming number of downloads, I have to take the mix offline until the beginning of december. I'll tell you when it's back online. ;)

As some of you may already know, I'm studying in communications. My final project at the College of Sherbrooke was the production of a documentary about raves in Montreal. Halfway trough the semester, I realized that I would never have time to finish this massive project for the end of the semester. It will take me a few more months to finish it. I decided to watch all the footage I had and take notes to produce something smaller that I could hand-in for the end of the semester. The result is this 11 minutes video, simply named "DJ", that gives people a glimpse of the "DJ world". It was presented at the Kino Sherbrooke night last june. Of course, the documentary that I'm still working on will be a lot longer and will go more in depth. However, this gives you a pretty good idea of how it'll be visually and of how I work.

Comme certains le savent déjà, j'étudie en communications. Mon projet d'intégration en communications au Collège de Sherbrooke était la réalisation d'un documentaire sur les raves. À mi chemin de la session, je me suis rendu compte que je n'aurais jamais le temps de terminer ce projet massif qui me prendra encore plusieurs mois à terminer. J'ai donc regardé tous les interviews que j'avais réalisés ainsi que les images de party que j'avais filmés afin de prendre des notes et de voir ce que je pourrais en faire pour remettre quelque chose à la fin de la session. Le résultat de ce travail est la capsule suivante intitulée très simplement "DJ". C'est une capsule qui ouvre une fenêtre au grand public sur le rôle du DJ. Cette capsule fut présentée à la soirée Kino-Sherbrooke de Juin. Le tout sera probablement beaucoup plus développé dans mon documentaire qui, je l'espère, devrait être terminé d'ici quelques mois.
