A 20-year-old man from Toronto was shot to death on Sunday morning.
It happened downtown on Bleury Street at around 3:30 a.m., in full view of the victim's friends.

We are an International Music Festival. We are presently in 45 cities in the U.S., 6 in Canada, and 64 throughout Europe. We work in the form of a contest, and we begin locally in each city. If you live within one hour or 75 miles of one of the cities, then the first step is to enroll the band on our website:

Once we receive your info, we'll give you a call back to set up an interview/meeting with one of our Managers. The Manager will then explain in greater detail exactly how the festival works, and answer any questions you may have. If you choose to participate, there is a one-time enrollment fee of $70 for the whole band. This will guarantee your first show. Like I said, we do work in the form of a contest, so there are typically 3 different rounds, and a number of bands from each night will move on. In June and July there are National Finals, the winners of which are flown to Germany to play in the International Final which takes place in Rothenburg at The Taubertal Festival. Then, the winner of the International Final in Germany will go on to play on the Vans Warped Tour.
Since we are a contest, we don't pay the musicians. There are $600,000 worth of prizes to be won. The complete prize list is on the website. The audience does the judging in the first couple of rounds, and at the Final in each city there is a panel of judges. We are putting this Festival on with our partners Regal Tip, Sennheiser, Crate, Ernie Ball Music Man, Ampeg, and Sabian to name a few. The Festival has been around for 15 years, it began in Rome and this is our third year in the U.S.
