you should practice writing more often, Noone.

scotty, dude, it's not worth slamming on Noone about this. Even if the two of you never come to an agreement, you could probably coexist peacefully together ;)

look, guy, from what I get your saying that if people know what they're getting into before they get into it, then it's all good. If that's what you have to say, I'd have to agree.

And Scott, can you really say he's wrong?

now, if you really believe illicit drugs can be healthy, i'd be very skeptical. I mean, it's possible, but it's very unlikely.

i'm not sure. it really depends on what you're saying.... still, getting angry is fun. so let'S all get shit pissed at each other :D

maybe we can mud wrestle...

p.s - character assassination SUCKS.

i actually agree with No1knows comments.
dude, i really hope your first language isn't english. If it's french or chinese or spanish or something, it's fine. But your posts are really hard to understand.

no doubt about what you're saying, if people understand the consequences of what they're doing, their isn't a problem....
well, no problem that isn't their own fault.

and please, character assassination is NEVER a good argument. attack scotty's ideas, not his character. otherwise you come off as a fucking feminist or democrat or something.

and thirty points for you.

fact - typing u instead of you makes you come off as the internet's equivalent of a redneck.

fact - the sentence "ya, you go do." makes absolutely no sense.

fact - not only did he take your insults, he took them with style.

dude, you're outclassed. i'm sorry.
you might have some ideas worth sharing, but you're not getting them across very well.

certain things are never safe.

stabbing yourself in the arm is less dangerous than stabbing yourself in the chest, but it's still dangerous. same with meth and other drugs.

doesn't matter how you use them, they're never going to be completly *safe*.

and what the fuck does scotty's looks have to do with anything? bite on his arguments man, don't bite on some bullshit like looks. what the fuck is up with that, are you afraid your words won't stand up to scrutiny, so you've got to throw some insults in to? that's just weak.

yeah, haha, i've got a few ex girlfriends who'd like to believe that "through time, they discovered it was never love" hahaha. whatever.

what I'm talking about though, is that with time, most problems heal themselves. feelings change. problems dissapear and priorities shift.

if you're emotionally distressed, over time things might change, and down the line, you might find yourself in an entirely different headspace/emospace.

hope is a shitty way to cope... if you're hoping in the wrong thing.

and by distorting your memory... well, studies have been made which show that optimistic people are the most unrealistic people, but they're also the most happy.

people who distort reality get along better with it than people who are more realistic (and pessimistic). distorting memories isnt a bad thing. it might make you happier, in the long run.

p.s - im slightly drunk.

and when it comes to emotional distress, memories tend to be in need of a bit of distorting and fading.

five years from now, you're going to forget about most of your problems, cause you'll be dealing with a whole bunch of new ones.

ever had one of those moments where someone said something or did something which made you do a double take and tell yourself "what the FUCK was that?"

we can share stories of the perplexing and stupid things people have said and done.

An example :

I was reading a copy of Sherlock Holmes on a long bus ride a couple weeks ago, when this old man with a russian accent starts
a conversation with me. He goes from talking about Sherlock Holmes to telling me that two days before ... he had whored himself out to a fat ugly women so he could buy a bus ticket to Quebec city, and found the women so disgusting and dirty that he puked all over himself.

WHY THE FUCK would you tell someone you just met this story? Usually, the last thing you would want someone you just met to know is that you're a manwhore who recently puked all over himself after fucking a dirty fat woman. Why advertise the fact? Why would you feel someone would want to know that?

that was a what-the-fuck moment.

Time heals all wounds.

and if you're having trouble getting by, take up a new hobbie or do some volunteer work.

Being depressed is a luxury that only people with afree time can afford. If you're busy, you won't notice you're depressed.

pack that schedule up.

if that fails, go to mexico and hook up with a bunch of hookers. and smoke opium. lots of opium.

Things which piss me off. . . Well, these don't piss me off, they just annoy the shit out of me.

Feminists. Fuck they're annoying. I'd rather be ripped apart by a dozen knife wielding drunken aardvarks than hang out with a bunch of feminists. Knife wielding blood thirsty aardvarks are friendlier. Cuter too. And much easier to reason with.

Anarchists under 30. Get off the tofu, take a bath, and stop taking yourselves so seriously. Thnx.

Democrats, liberals, and the left in general.

Whiny people. Yeah, your life sucks, boo fuckin hoo. Do something about it.

Crackheads.

Bureaucrats.

and that's about it.

It's been awhile since I've studied any of this ... but from what I can remember - during the time of the russian civil war there was a healthy anarchist movement in the Ukraine. For a few years, several cities in the Ukraine were operated under Anarchist principles.

They eventually fell to the bolshevik forces, but it was an interesting chapter in modern history that's often ignored.

Don't remember much about it, but I know it happened ;)

Afrokaboozy, there's more than enough food, water, air, and shelter to meet everyone's needs. However, the wealth of the world is in the hands of a tiny minority (a few thousand control more wealth than half the population of the world. That's just a tad greedy).

I'm not an anarchist, but I'm under the impression that the only reason poverty persists is because it's manufactured.

I think that the French or fluently bilingual yuppies from the West Island are more inclined (at least, that's the impression I get) to move to the Plateau than other's might be.

Because that's where all the other upwardly mobile late 20 somethings are moving to... I wouldn't say that's where everyone in Montreal wants to live, but that's where most of the young professionals want to live. And since West Islanders live so far from the city, when it's time to move away from home - they'll often choose to move to the Plateau.

... granted, that's just my impression ;)
