Emi Honda, Nive Nielsen [Greenland] [ Static Link : iCal ]
City:Canada, Quebec, Montreal
Time:Thu Mar 4, 2010 @ 9:00pm
Description:Nive Nielsen [ www.myspace.com ] is an inuit singer-songwriter from Nuuk, Greenland. She just finished her debut album “Nive Sings!” and self-released it on her own label Tuttu Recordings, in Greenland.

Nive travels around the world, gathering rag-tag orchestras wherever she goes. This concert will be the first performance of her new Instaband of montréal musicians before they head out for SXSW and a bunch of gigs in America.

Emi Honda, originally from southern Japan, moved to Vancouver Island in the late 90’s and was immediately fascinated with the lush landscape and local flora. She began gardening and building visually complex, mechanical assemblage sculptures, which she began to exhibit in local galleries. She later went on to form the band Elfin Saddle [ www.myspace.com ] now on Constellation Records in Montréal.
