| Description: | This Friday Bounce Action is pulling out a very special event. While the city goes through its annual transformation and we welcome this much anticipated summer, we must also say goodbye. Francois a.k.a. DJ Phranteek, has brought energy, enthousiasm and his unique brand of Booty / Ghetto-Tech stylin`s to the BOUNCE ACTION team and will be greatly missed. To send him off to Brussels in stlye, we will have put together this special event. This Friday will feature visuals provided by VJ Kas and VJ Nokami, a three turntable mix session by Phranteek and a Live set by DJ/Producer Jan Pienkowski (Ono Records). BOUNCE ACTION Nestled in the Old Port at the super swank club Utopia, Bounce Action is a fresh new Friday night offering up underground electronic party music in a warm and comfortable setting. With it’s slick 60’s Gangster style décor, intamite booths, great sound and super firendly staff, BOUNCE ACTION at Utopia is a night worth checking out. JAN PIENKOWSKI (ONO RECORDS) A composer, musician, sound designer, DJ and physicist, Jan Pienkowski writes and performs music reflecting his diverse background. From his Electroacoustic training and love of World Music comes a mixture of mechanical bleeps, acoustic spaces and ethnic themes. Jan is continuously forging new inter-disciplinary connections with regular SAT [Mix_Sessions], the first Technopera (Turandot) with the Montreal Opera, and the dance / music / video project A.R.M. with choreographer Nikolas Dixon. Jan's performances span Canada, U.S., France and Hong Kong and include Black & Blue, Montreal High Lights, Fantasia, Divers/Cité, Tangente, Fringe/Pop and Agora festivals. |
