BIO
-
For over the last 6 years in Atlantic Canada there has been one name that rings synonomous with the term "progressive". That name is Sean Keating.

A true technical perfectionist, Sean's outstanding programming skills and flawless execution have set him apart from the rest of the pack on the East Coast. A progressive house lover to the core, his style has broadened over the years to include everything from tribal house to progressive electro and breakbeats. With a sound that just screams "big room" when this dj steps up to the decks it's an experience not to be missed.

Sean's early exposure to electronic music came in the form of compilations from a slew of djs signed to Global Underground. It was here that Sean learned (indirectly) how to play progressive from such world class DJs as Sasha, John Digweed and Sander Kleinenberg to name a few.

Sean's unwavering work ethic and professionalism have quickly made him one of the easiest and most pleasant DJs to work with. He has held residencies with some of the biggest production companies and most respective club nights in Halifax including Baseline @ Reflections with Twinbeats. Later he moved on to join Atlantic Canada's biggest production company, Massive Productions, where he gained even more experience playing at arguably the biggest events the East Coast has ever seen.

Since that time Sean has moved on to create his own night with fellow progressive DJ Todd Hodder. In 2003 they started up "Future Fusion", a night dedicated to all things progressive, at Club Red. By 2005 the night had picked up a solid following and moved along with Club Red to a new venue now known as Sub Rosa. The night continues to go strong and continues to expose new listeners to the music they love.

Sean's experience and confidence in front of the crowd has provided him with many golden opportunities having played alongside some of the biggest DJs in the world including Danny Howells, Deep Dish, Sultan, MV(Envy), DJ Dan, John Kelley, John Acquaviva, Christian Smith, Mistress Barbara, Paranoid Jack and an explosive set with Sasha in 2003 which saw the two tag until the early morning hours!

It isn't certain how long Sean will remain on the East Coast but with a new push into production work in 2005/2006 Sean hopes to break out of his little part of the world and move on to see how far he can go.
