| Info: | Kapacity Entertainment presents Canadian DMC Championship Weekend Day 2 @ The New Capital Music Hall - Canadian DMC Battle for Supremacy. The DMC Battle for Supremacy conducted in the tradition of the old school style Head to Head Battle in which 2 DJs pair off and battle each other, with only one DJ progressing through to the next round. - MC BATTLE w/ $1000 cash prize - hosted by J.U.I.C.E. (Chicago). This will be Ottawa's biggest MC Battle to date. Many out of towners are making the trip up. Aspire (Vancouver), Rugged Intellect (MTL), Mums The Disciple (Toronto) & many more TBA. Live performances by: JUICE [Chicago] Undisputed MC Battle Champ Past Scribble Jam, Rap Olympics, Blaze Battle Winner Conglomorate Music. Chicago PUMPKINHEAD [New York City] Brooklyn Academy, Red Army Music Pumpkinhead Born Robert Alan Diaz In Brooklyn N.Y. On Sept. 17th, 1975 did not know what his future had in store for him. The Son of a single hard working mother grew up in Park Slope Brooklyn with younger sister and mother in a 2 bedroom apartment , PH started getting into Hip Hop in the early 80's movies like Beat Street , Breakin and Wildstyle inspired this B-boy to embrace the culture to the fullest and be the best at what he does today. Starting as a 10 yr. Old B-boy PH would battle local crews alone in search of acceptance for having heart and skill for his age. Finally gaining acclaim for his breaking and popping skills he quickly moved on to his next goal , which was to be an M.C. After Hearing Dana Danes Nightmares PH started penning little raps during his 6th Grade Language art class where he was the top Poet. Pumpkinhead first leaped on to the Underground Hip Hop scene when a friend of Pumpkinhead went to WKCR'S Bobitto Garcia's weekly basketball radio show Trash talk and handed Bobitto a promo that PH had created for Bobitto's Underground Hip Hop radio show that was on air every thursday night along with the legendary D.J. Strecth Armstrong , They played the promo for 8 weeks straight. After New York's first tastse of this underground legend they demanded more , So PH joined the stable of Makin' Records which was home to the group Natural Resource (Jean Grae) and The Bad Seed . Ph's first 12" single was Dynamic b/w It's over and went . 1 in the Hits , Gavin and Cmj charts the record was embraced by all. That was the Beginning of Greatness Pumpkinhead is known as a battle Champion Holding 2 Braggin Rites Championships under his belt and End of the weak challenge champion. PH has also Toured and Traveled the world Places such as Japan ,Australia (Sydney,Perth,Adelaide,Melbourne) , Sweden , Amsterdam and over 40 states ,Had opened up for the likes of the rock group Goo Goo Dolls on the Lyricist Lounge Technology Tour ,Bootcamp Click on the lyricists Lounge Tour , Kanye West , Ghostface , Big Daddy Kane ,The Lost Boys , Tony Touch , Jedi Mind Tricks and has also Headlined shows all over the U.S. Pumpkinhead has also released 2 albums The Old Testament and A Beautiful Mind and several mixtapes Kill Music vol.1 , Time chronicles vol.1 & 2 . with two albums in the clip Pumpkinhead readies his next two bullets into the chamber so watch out cause he is the Underground's True King!
