| Info: | This month I have decided to go back to have a couple of more DJ's that would like to make their presence felt at Elevation. DJ's [b]Legacy[/b], [b]Type-ZERO[/b] and [b]Yelena[/b] will be gracing us upon the decks at Helsinki Lounge and Disco on January 26th! [b]DJ Legacy[/b] Set time: 10-11:45 DJ Legacy has been djing since 1994, which is about 6 years before I even knew what electronica was! Legacy got his start spinning top 40 clubs, like a lot of DJ's then got more into rave scene around 97. Legacy's, legacy began as a long time resident at Illuisions where most of us used to party back in the day. He has produced remixes for various local artists and currently writes trance and progressive. Prepare for an excellent opening set by this veteran of the rave scene! [b]Type-ZERO[/b] [i]Fiberline Audio, [ Beatmaka.com ] [ 24PPQN.COM ] ZERO Trance[/i] Set time: 11:45-12:45 Project Type-ZERO was started 6 years ago. Mixing a unique blend of techno percussion, with trance melodies to create a sound that shakes the dance floor. Eric Normandin, A.K.A. Type-ZERO. An Ottawa, Canada based producer who has been apart of the electronic scene for 7 years. Eric started off as club trance DJ, and worked his way up from softer styles of trance, to the hardest style of acid trance, hardstyle, techno, and even hardcore techno. After several years, he decided to take up producing to form his own style of music. Deciding not to limit himself to one style of music, he moved to create bridges between several different styles of music. From break beats, techno, acid, and trance, nothing was to far fetch. Type-ZERO started like most other producer, in his bedroom using simple audio gear. Over the years, the quality, and sound has grown by leaps and bounds. After releasing several albums, working with countless artist, both locally and internationally. Type-ZERO is now in a class of his own, utilizing techniques for sound productions like no other, using new digital sounds, with old analogue sounds and hard percussion to get a driving sound. [b]Yelena[/b] [i]Tantric, Pulse[/i] Set time: 12:45 - close Yelena first got her start at a local Club Maxime where she was offered to promote and play a weekly night in 2000. She is now a proud member of [i]Tantric[/i] and [i]Pulse[/i] that she has earned through extremely hard work. Thanks to her amazing ear for music and the variety of styles played, which even included hip hop, the night soon became a success. But as all things some to an end, it was time to move on to bigger and better things. She has been busting out huge as of late playing numerous Elevation events, playing at countless bars in Ottawa, including Surface nightclub. She has shown her dedication and time to perfecting her skills, finding best and most inspiring music, and captivating audiences whenever she played.
