| Info: | On Friday, December 9, 2005 Kapacity Entertainment proudly presents underground hip-hop legend, Murs, with special guest, Pumpkinhead. Based in Los Angeles, Murs gained considerable popularity when his group, 3MG, hooked up with Mystik Journeymen to form the Living Legends collective in 1996 (a crew which now has a catalog of over 50 full-length albums and numerous singles). Between both 3MG and the Living Legends, Murs has played a large part in several influential indie hip-hop albums, appearing on more than 20 full-length projects, EPs, and singles within a seven-year period. In 2003 Murs delivered his highly acclaimed solo album, The End of the Beginning, on the Definitive Jux label. The album featured guests such as Def Jux leader El-P, RJD2, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Shock G and others. Murs then teamed up with Atmosphere’s Slug for the album, Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci. Since then Murs has hooked up with producer 9th Wonder (Little Brother) for their full-length LP, Murs 3:16: The 9th Edition, released a CD & DVD movie, Walk Like a Man, collaborated once again with Slug for Felt 2, and has guest appeared on several projects. This touring machine has been winning fans all over North America (including his unforgettable first appearance in Ottawa as part of the God Loves Ugly Tour with Atmosphere and Brother Ali), Europe, Japan and Australia for over a decade. The nation’s capital finally gets another chance to witness this highly respected MC do what he does best. Brooklyn underground veteran Pumpkinhead burst on the scene in the mid-90’s with his 12” single, Dynamic, his appearances on the infamous Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito show and NYC open mic events. Pumpkinhead followed that success by putting out the Dynamic remix with his Makin’ Records family (including Jean Grae and Bad Seed), and working on various projects with his two groups, Brooklyn Academy and O.B.S. Since then, Pumpkinhead has released several solo albums, mix-tapes, and singles, plus has guest appeared on numerous songs and compilations. He now is touring in support of his brand new album " Orange Moon Over Brooklyn" on Soulspazm Records. The album was entirely produced by new comer (Canadian) Marco Polo - Beat Society. PH has amazed countless audiences at concerts and battle victories but this will be Ottawa’s first chance to witness him live. with support RUGGED INTELLECT.
