Flying in from his regular stint at the Casino Grande on the Vegas strip as a special treat for the first annual Shawn Scallen birthday extravaganza is Internationally renowned comedian Neeeeeeeeeeeeeil Hamburger. Neil is back in North America after an Australian hiatus where he performed to crowds of 20,000-30,000 at festivals such as The Big Day Out, Homebake and Livid, opening for the likes of Garbage, the Offspring and Silverchair. Of course Neil was an unwelcome intruder at these “alternative rock†youth-oriented events and he was forced to weather a barrage or boos, bottles and shoes. Hamburger is pumped to be back on home turf, on the club circuit where is comedy is more appreciated. Americas favourite funnyman has six comedy CDs under his belt, the majority of which have been released on Drag City Records, and a DVD out on Kung Fu Records. Plus he has taken time out of his busy schedule to appear on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Opening the show in a rare Ottawa appearance are local dynamic duo Daiquiri. This electronic two-piece has been leaving audiences speechless after their usual spectacle of a performance. They have a tendency of showing up Andrew WK every time he comes to town. Kicking off the evening are local spinmasters DJ Craig (formely of Zaphod Beeblebrox/Aloha Room) and Disconnected, the DJ team of Chameleonic and DJ Booth (Organised Sound/Disorganised) taking their underground sensation to the next level in the expanses of Barrymores.
