Deelight 8 (OO infinity) [ Static Link : iCal ]
City:Canada, Ontario, Ottawa
Time:Fri Feb 18, 2005 @ 9:00pm
Flyers:
Info:The Fun Syndicate, in Da Jungle (Montreal) and Surface nightclub is proud to bring you this event, the 8th annual chapter in the longest running electronica party tradition Canada's Capital city has celebrated. It is also one of the longest in Canada alongside the Destiny series and a few select others. The Deelight events have been highly anticipated and consistently sold-out capacity shows since their inception in 1998. Beginning at the legendary Well/Market Station in 1998 (now known as Helsinki), moving to "le Auberge" in 1999 for a show that saw over 1300 people and culminating in an experiment as a 7 day music festival that celebrated Ottawa's eclectic culture and community last year; Deelight has always been "the people's party".

This year the focus is on the community, the love, and giving back. All profits / residual money left over after expenses and artists have been paid will be split equally between the David Suzuki Foundation and Nustream web magazine. This will continue in further years as a means for the community to support the ritual event and at the same time support Dr. Suzuki's efforts at environmental protection and Nustream's efforts to give our community a voice, a web magazine about the scene, by the scene, in it's own context.
