you really want to know about my life? prepare for a dramatic sob story. my dad is a former heroin addict. i used to watch him inject heroin with his dealer and i used to play with his burnt spoons in the sand at our family's country place. my mom had me at 17 years old. i grew up in relative poverty. my parents split when i was 6 for two years. one day, my dad stole a car at knifepoint to go get a fix, got into an accident and nearly lost his leg. he would have died had not been wearing a seatbelt. he went to rehab and when he finished, my parents got back together. a few years later, they both became alcoholics and arguments, beatings and police calls were the norm in my house. at 17 years old, my mom met someone on the internet and while my dad and brothers were out of town, she ditched our family to go live in indiana. shortly after that, my youngest brother lashed out and became a huge trouble maker and got kicked out of two elementary schools. the middle brother became a drug addict, doing anything he could to buy PCP, coke and weed, amongst other drugs. so, i may not have moved from country to country and i may have had the opportunity to go to school, but my life has been far from peachy keen. |
