The effects of particular drugs dont dictate the problem... the inability to control one's self without the drug does.

Drugs are only bad once they create a dependance for the user that wasn't there previously. What starts off as a hobby eventually becomes a habit & unfortunately, habitual users neglect to acknowledge that they were, and are still able to function better without the drug itself. Even physical enhancers like steroids can still have a negative effect on a person's mentality and consequently affect the athlete in a non-beneficial way.

People tend to convince themselves psychologically that they 'need' to get their fix in order to maintain control when ironically that 'need' displays their own lack thereof...

Once the problem is recognized it can eventually be fixed.

e-40 calls his weed broccoli

E-40, Breakin News, album review
Review by jovibaby!

Catch the Breakin News. It is finally here. Consistently the most unappreciated and underrated rappers in the game, E-40 is back with his 9th solo. It seems that in recent years we can count on a summer and fall season that mysteriously mesh together and a new E-40 album. At least we can get a new E-40 album.

Warning: Breakin News is not as good as Grit And Grind, but this must be taken with a grain of salt, since Grit And Grind is E-40's best album.

E-40 Bellafonte comes with some new (old) sounds this time, with a majority of the production being handled by Rick Rock. Does anyone ever wonder what happened to Studio Tone?

Breakin News starts off as did Grit and Grind, without the classic E-40 intro I mean. I miss those. That said, Breakin News is a great start, featuring a reggae dude, the fabulous "skeet-skirt" E-40 sound effect, and a short piece about how E-40 is bettering his life by losing weight. Hot is cool, when some of 40's faster verses. Next I skip past I Got Dat Work and get to the hit song Quarterbackin, featuring the Clipse.

After a couple more skips, I like I Hope You Get This Kite. This is a nice song and encouraging song about everyone serving time in the penitentiary. The production is warm, providing a 70's feel reminiscent of Fallin' Rain from Grit and Grind. This is followed by Act A Ass, which has some of the best rhymes on the album and is fun to listen to ("I'm drinkin' a beer, I'm smockin' a Swisher, I barely can steer, I'm full of this liquor"). Anybody Can Get It features Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Bone Crusher and David Banner. If you like those dudes then you will like this one because it certainly bangs and is a classic. Gasoline is another fun track, my favorite on the album (yes, more than Quarterbackin). Just wait until the third verse. Show & Prove is a beautiful love song (no, really) written to his wife showing his appreciation for her sticking by his side throughout the years. This Goes Out, let just say skip. Stomp Do... has perhaps the fastest verse on the album, the B-Legit guest spot, a great chorus and pimp talk at the end.

There are more songs, of course. Breakin News is a good album and its great to here the new lingo E-40 has to offer. I recommend that you pick it up. You may just increase your vocabulary.
