As most of us have been going to raves for a while, I'm sure we all have some sketchy stories to share of people, or experiences at parties that seemed a little out of the ordinary...

When I think of a couple off the top of my head, on that comes to mind is the "bubble man" at karma2... Infected mushroom was playing at this show, and in a daring move feuled by 17-year old logic I decided to attend the show on mushrooms.. Well before I go on I will state that the party WAS a lot of fun, and in the end it was worth it for me to go and do what I did... But several things happened that night which momentarily freaked me out.. One was as I was sitting down on a chair buzzed out of my mind a 50 year old hippy (you see a few of these guys at every goa/psy party), went up to me and yelled out gibberish (BABLBLELAEJBABEJJABEJAKEHJAEHKJEA)... Anyway, that scared the shit out of me.. this picture was taken at about this point in the evening...

I'd like to thank my sister for being kind enough to include that pic in her gallary... Anyway at another point during this evening I also saw another hippy old guy (it may have been the same one, I don't know), create bubbles out of his hand... He probably had a bubble wand, but I wasn't sure.. I wasn't even sure if he was really there, but soon after alex (the guy in the picture to the left of me) saw him too...

A few months later, at another party, someone asked me if I had seen that CHAIR right over ther TURN INTO A PERSON... I was quite sober at this particular party, and I explained to the person I did not see the chair turn into a person, and went on to tell him how it was actually a bunch of coats piled on a chair... Then I walked away very carefully and said nothing...

this isn't a rave story... but a few months ago.. I was working with someone doing music, I'd rather not say who but it's nobody any of you know anyway, and they asked me if I wasnted to see their gun.. I of course, said yes.. and a few seconds later had a shiny pistol pointed straight at my head... Suffice to say, it wasn't real, but it was a scary few seconds

Most of the sketch I've encountered has been in Toronto or involved people from there.

One such incident occured when me and my old roommate Jess went to a jungle night at the Down One lounge. Some guy that Jess knew (but I didn't) offered me 10$ to drive him someplace nearby to make some "delivery". Next thing I know theres a whole crew of unfamiliar people riding in my van, directing me to go and stop at various places. I was tired to the point of almost passing out, so I wasn't prepared to really argue with them. Next thing I know some guy comes in with a PS2 thats apprently just been stolen while I've been waiting. Then an argument breaks out as apprently they fight over it. All in all it was one one hellava sketchy night.

Oh well, at least I got my 10$ outta it.
