nah, the village looks like another "dead silence for 3 minutes, just showing the guys face staring, then have a loud sound with nothing there and scare the shit out of everyone" movie.. |

That's what I'm hoping it won't turn into. There's actually story and stuff behind it, and a lot of the concepts for the movie ARE really good. But as we get closer to the release, I keep reminding myself of what total garbage his other movies were, and it worries me that he may have taken an AMAZING idea for a horror movie, and will probably turn it into a harmless family scare-movie. |

I dunno, unlike Victor Salva or Roman Polanski, Shamamalamadingdong has yet to put out anything that has any sort of style to it. |

Big Fish was a greatt movie, not Tim Burton's BEST, but not all that far behind! it really did have that special something about that was amazingly captivating.

everyone told me that the end was great, which if i hadn't heard i probably would have walked out. the end DID make it good, i cried (but i'm a wuss and i always cry), but i wouldn't say it was even close to one of the best movies i've seen. |

For the record, I think that were I to be given half the amount of money and had at my disposal 1/4 of the people that Tim Burton does, I could make a movie that would SURPASS EVERYTHING he ever has and ever will do if he lived 10 lifetimes.
Man, remember when you discovered Kraft Diner? That was the SHIT! Best Food Ever! And now, after a few years, you realise that Kraft Diner is just a brand name behind something that's sub-par and designed for mass-consumption. Kinda like Tim Burton's movies. It's "artistic" and "deep" for people who don't know their ass from art. |

I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about, I was never an adept of Kraft dinner coz my mom's a baker and makes the best food ever so I was raised with high standards in all aspects.. and what's for the art I know a good movie from a bad one, you don't need murder and blood for a movie to be considered good. I enjoyed the fact that there wasn't any sex, violence or stupid crap we see on TV every day. Not many movies touch me but that one touched me in a way. Sometimes different is good and before talking think who the movie was made for and who was the target audience. And if anyone here was better than him, had some backbone to get off drugs and start writing scripts and bust their asses to get gouvernement sponsorship and make something out of their lives maybe I wouldn't have been so harsh but besides few people on ravewave, not many here have a bright future in my books.
And Ian that comeback is sooooooo like 3 years ago and I'm not joking. Jess and the westies kinda killed all meaning to it. And since we do live in QUEBEC and have somewhat a libetarian system, I will say what I have on my mind and not make an idiot out of myself. And seriously, what does Bosnia has to do with anything I said? -nothing- exactly my point You just hatin' coz I'm pretty. case closed next! |
