since and my workmates spend a whole day cooking every week, i'm getting better and better at balancing nutrition and taste.

i just experimented a new recipe...
we could call it "coconut lentil stew".

cooking is awesome, while you concentrate measuring proportions, you taste and guess which spices could go along well.

this is a call to all of you fellows, wether you are vegeterian or not, to stop encouraging multibillionaire corporations to sell you toxic prepackaged food.

it's so easy to do it yourself and you always end up being a winner.

Agreed completely. And I try. I really do. But cooking is just not my forte. I tried making a lentil/potato/tofu curry the other day. Flop. Tried making a cinnamon swirly apple thing. Flop. Coconut Stirfry. Flop.

I can heat up canned soup really well tho!

I'd been a poutine hardcore the other day and I finally gave in and made myself one

it's in my blood- I'm italian and we cook.

however, cleaning is not my thing.

I find cooking to be super relaxing...

most meat eater around the age of 30+ are large, have higher blood pressue and higher cholesteral.

Ive been vegetarian for almost a year now...i do eat fish though...i wasn't getting enough protein in my diet and was losing too much weight for my own good.

My forté are veggie/soy stir frys, falafel/avacato wraps and home made veggie soups .... crap im hungry now.

My favorite veggie thing to make is toast (with brown bread because white bread gets stuck in your intestines). Other than that I eat french fries.I may be vegetarian, but I hate vegetables.

i'm really into macrobiotic food these days.

it's the traditional japanese cuisine based on brown rice, seaweed (this is good stuff, ocean's own lettuce!), tofu, ginger, miso, tamari and fresh vegetables (especially rootsy ones such as carrots, beets, burdock...).

pretty unknown, but really good.

oh and to those who claim that vegeterians look sick, some people that are too lazy to cook only eat bread and potatoes when they start going meatless.
they obviously have a lack of nutriments.

but what if you compare someone who eats fastfood everyday to someone that is all about fresh, crisp vegetables, high protein beans and sprouts...a healthy mind must be in a healthy body.

i read yesterday that just before an animal is killed at the slauterhouse, it will get an adrenalin rush.

there is a hindu belief that says that when you eat an animal, you recieve all the terror and agitation it goes through at the moment of its death.
you tend to be much more agressive and anxious.

I really hope potatoes don't have souls, otherwise I'm getting all the aggressivity from eating something than was torn out of the ground, had it's eye stems torn off, got skinned alive, cut up, then deep fried right to hell. It may explain where all my anger comes from; those poor suffering vegetables...

I almost became a fruitarian thinking that the only completely natural food are fruits because they fall off the trees themselves (in nature) and the seeds inside are designed to be digested and shit out so another tree can grow.
