I got the name Tipsy because I’m always drunk. One night I was playing at the happy hardcore night at Felix and I was spinning and this woman, she comes in. She comes to talk to me while I was playing. She was maybe 40 or 50. And I was behind the decks and she comes behind the decks and she told me my music was too weird and she asked me to play some Arabian music. She even sang me a song I could play for her, an Arabian song. She sang really bad. I told her to fuck off and she left.

I met Leonora at M.I.N.D. and we became friends. She gave me the nickname Kafwin. I gave her the nickname Leelee. So from then on people just started calling me Kafwin. Then when I was making the Something Special flyer with you, ‘bout a year later, I guess, when we were writing the names of the people on the flyer, because I was drawn with a cape, we decided to write Supa’h Kawfin. We wrote SK on the t-shirt too. And then about two months later, I was on the phone with Noah, and because I was saying stupid rimes he said I was stoned and thought I would make a good MC. So then my friend, after a rave, told me he had a dream that I was an MC. I was dressed like Goldilocks and my name was Kafwin D-Lux. I changed it myself, later on that day 'cause I thought Supa’h Kafwin D-Lux would be better. |
