I saw them last year at caberet w/ moka only & A-trak.
The show was fucking fabulous. A-trak really pumped everyone up... then moka only killed the vibe. it was like a bad karaoke set. Then swollen came on, fucking trashed and gave it all they had. Madchild would just do this head bang thing for 5 mins straight...Prevail kicked ass...really good a free styling. the show rocked mah fucking socks hardcore. I'd mos def see them again. |

Ya,
They are fun to see live, they put on a good show and they got some fresh muzik... I have a funny story about madchild, years ago we met one afternoon at tams and we smoked up the whole day, just chillin together and shootin the shit... then a couple of years later, he's a super star, at the time when I first met him, I had no clue who he was, just that he was in town on a trip... nyways, was a pretty chill guy(dude I thought that I was chronic, this kid BLAZES!), even remembered me the last time we spoke after a show... uFOT-rawk stars, cause c'mon, they're supposed to be Hop stars... |

they fucking blow.
all their songs sound the same ... unoriginal and they barely even have any bitches in their videos. good for nothing! |

Jackie once again, hitting nails on they heads
Swollen does blow all their songs do sound the same but Swollen used to be on of canadas best hip-hop acts, they we're fucking amazing when they came out with Balance and Bad Dreams, but even one their second album you could hear their pop sound starting, then they just fucked em selves over when Moka joined the group officially... Moka is amazing by himself...as long as he's not singing now, i don't pay any attention to any of them cause it's always the same thing...crap |

the black guy is an ex-homeless intellectual....why are we talking about them?....they're not new or nothing....they even had tracks on the radio like 2 years ago. Guess Chomedey's "old school". |

i saw them the two first times they were in montreal
over 4 years ago when they performed with the sebutones and bless and 3 years ago on the first circa/battle axe tour at Tokyo they know how to hype a crowd but i miss the rawness of their earlier releases i remember there wasn't such a thing as mp3's when i first discovered them and had to record real audio onto audio cassette i'll always be really fond of their old classics from the balance album -Bless and destroy (first single) -bottle rockets -lady venom their new stuff isn't my cup of tea. i'm just annoyed with their addition of that piece of shit called moka only (i have a moka only diss by some montreal cats for those who want to hear) i tried hard not to say sell-out. and they did sign funkdoobiest to their record label |

i still think bless and destroy is a hype track
i didnt know what to think when i first heard the organ sample in fuel injected (same one as dj shadow's organ donor)... except they had to use two extra bars weak |

straight up
to tell you the truth i've never met these guys in person they might be totally down to earth behind their facade so i can only judge them by their music the [balance] album was banging to me; i highly recommend anyone to at least download a few of these tracks to compare to what they're doing lately -bless and destroy -lady venom -circuit breaker -front street judge for yourself they've paid their dues; they were part of the frisco underground for a short while and signed good underground artists with alot of street cred to their label while i'm at it the [arsonists] never blew up in their prime; their album [as the world burns] had so many dope bangers. HIGHLY recommended if you've slept on them. these guys spit it raw, rugged and they're all champion bboys -backdraft -pyromaniacs -blaze -In your town |

yeah i really shouldn't be talking...double u Tee vee
apparently they have a somewhat new album haven;t heard it, but the hopes are high another good track off As the world burns is Rhyme Time Passage, or what not, not sure, my memory for track titles is very limited and while we're at it, on this hip-hop thing Freestyle Fellowship : check them out too apparently they coming out with a new album and Aceyalone, check him out, his new album came out a while ago (i guess making it not new, but fuck that) it's more jump up and a little more pop sounding, but it's still got alot of quality Ace tracks people give the under dogs a chance and I'm really starting to get pretty innoyed with Buck 65 |
