Banned for being overused and deliciously potent, this stuff is why Van Gogh sliced his ear of and gave it to a prostitute. And while it's still banned here, the 'green fairy' as it's known can be purchased and shipped to your door for a measly couple of bills. -the original formula had wormwood in it a powerfull holusinagen... that is still illegal. -their is a new version of this drink that is still green and still has a lot of alcomahal in in that is legal in canada and in europe. hell they serve it in bars in Montreal. But you won't be seeing anything more than the ocation pink elephant on this new stuff.(mind you, the chances of you cutting of your ear are also greatly reduced!) |

| Coolness: 40095 | Hence, Absinthe is now legal. But yes, it's changed somewhat since the original 1900's Absinthe.
And this new formula is actually legal in America too, but they got around that by saying the selling of Absinthe in the states is prohibited. Kinda like selling cigarettes to minors. It ain't illegal for them to have it, but it's illegal for shopkeeps to sell it to them. |

 Coolness: 685570 | Absinth, the real stuff, is pretty good if you drink it properly. The crap they have available NOW has no wormwood in it, but apart from that it's the same alcohol, so just buy your own damn wormwood and steep it in yourself.
Also, it isn't the reason van gogh cut his ear off. He cut his ear off because he had tinnitus in that ear and he was going crazy from having one ear ringing really loud 24/7 and the other ear being fine, he figgured it would get rid of it to cut it off. Also. Absinthe, for those that don't know, is one chemical bond diffrent in content from THC. The effect of it being that instead of getting a "depresive" down, your down stimulates the creative portion of the brain, so the NEXT day, you get creative thoughts and ideas. If you drink enough to halucinate, then you're probably gonna die of alcohol poisoning, because just like weed, you CAN halucinate if you intake A LOT, but in the case of something with alcohol, the amount you need would kill you. |

just a thought. stumbled across is while looking at a site about the history of absinthe in new orleans. distillation doesnt look too hard, the herbs of the originally recipe, all except wormwood, can be picked up faily easily. |

 Coolness: 89465 | i smuggled a bottle of absynthe (or whatever it is these days...) back from the Czech Republic last summer and it was fucking great!
it tasted like shit even after you mixed the caramalized sugar in but it certinaly did the trick. although an absynthe hangover to me felt like i had been shot. worst hangover ever and i don;t even usually get them! |
