I understand the whole hip-hop mixing in with the electronic one @ Aria, even though I really enjoy my dose of Hip-Hop (none of that bubblegum rap crap). But when the music's good and the sound kicks ass, who gives a rat's ass? I don't.
Have you guys ever been to SONA when it was open? You HAD to go through the hip-hop room every time you wanted to take a leek.....now THAT is bleeding down to the electronic vibe.....and back then I preferd SONA to Aria....but then SONA stopped bringing the big names etc...the rest is history but the point is that it's not THAT bad if you've been through that. They all think they're dawgs, right? So 's'long u playin' it cool, everytang's cool....'cause dem mofo can smell fear.....isslikam sayin' dey dawgs! |

Aria ...stechy vibe to it ......hip - hop room was scary..walk in and felt like the guys where saying" yo white boy what u doing here!!!!"...not a fan of thug music ....Aria's light show is interesting Stereo just is a more intamnet enivorment and the sound system kicks ass!!!!! lee |

Sam ; there ain't no jungle event @ Aria for the following reason ;
Aria would never promote one.. U have to make 'em an offer and organize it yourself ...but you have to pay for their staff and many many other things (including your ou-of-town guest (s),other dj's,..etc,.. You have to pay everything when you throw a jungle jam there ..) But they let lotsa regulars get in for free and money thang is kinda sketchy .. So ; like it happened with the UBERZONE breaks night @ Aria ; the promoter end up being fucked up and loses lotsa money .. |

Even though I'm not the biggest house head in here, many of my fellow house heads agree that Stereo hasn't really gotten better. The intimate vibe is no more since they got it all renovated and it just now looks like any other after hour. Almost like going to Aria on a saturday, minus the thug vibe of course. But honestly, those "dawgs" never bothered me and most of them won't even try since they're the ones "wearing numbers" like -exactly like me- mentioned ;).
I dunno, I really don't notice them, plus I usually prefer the style of house that gets played at Aria, less proggy (but that's just tastes). I dunno, Stereo use to be so much better, I still remember (I was also at the opening *sigh*). Now it's always the same djs and it's always deep and prog house while I prefer funkier and upbeat though sometimes dark. Anyways, something got lost along the way at Stereo, though the vibe is still partly there, I'm all about the music and the sound system at Aria rules too. There has even been articles in mags saying that ever since Aria tweaked its sound system, it might be kicking Stereo's ass but then again, it's not tweaked for the same purposes. |

werd! same ol same ol arguments. in the end.. it all comes down to the music.. cause the vibe is the one you create with the ppl you go with. Serious, you don't go to a club to party like you usualy do... you go to enjoy sick ass beats, played by internationnally renowned DJs. So in a way, that whole social pressure of being friendly with the ppl next to you disappears. And that's a good thing sometimes. not that your gonna kick them in the nuts while dancing or anything... but you realy don't give a shit who's next to you in a club...Just pure enjoyment of the music. And musicwise.. ppl all agree. Aria puts stereo to sleep.. all respects due. THat's what I like about Aria too, you get a blend of vibes (musically) with the hip hop room.... Tired of the pumpin beats... just go get busy on a couchs upstairs or something. It's like having 13 porn couchs in a row... |
