Do you think the world changed ?

They said : sept. 11's gonna change the world's face forever .

I look outside and I see no difference . Sadly .

I think USA is ignoring too much how it provokes the world to attack it. I don't support terrorism, but you have to attack it at it's cause, and see if its not your FOREIGN policy that is making the world hostile against you.

yeah. that's true.

but what annoys me is stupidities like how the US has infatuations with themselves..

"700 people were killed in afganistan, most of which were civillians, and 1 american." Then the whole story shifts to the life story of that 1 american.. as if the rest of the people killed were not people..

I see it all the time on the news and it makes me hate the US for it.

please- as much as we hate the USA, we still have to be sympathetic towards the victims of the sept. 11 attack. i mean a few thousand people just went to work thinking it would be a day like every other, when in reality it would be the worst day of their lives.. i mean it is really sad (my friend ex bf was in the first plane, and a lady i worked with's boyfriend was a firefighter who died; after it all happened she moved here.)

i mean, honestly, it did scare me to think that something so terrible could happen so close to us, and i was mad terrified of war (it's been my #1 fear forever.) so as much as it's like "what about them?" i guess just the fact that it was so close by made everything a little more realistic.

the media didn't help though, i have to admit that much.

How many people die in Africa because the governments can't afford to buy medication from (guesse who! America), and if someone else made that medication and sold or gave it to a poor african country they would get SUED. How many people died in world war two from bombs or the Holocaust or the killing of communists, ect... How many people died in Zaire. How many die in chechnya (the russian army believes in killing all chechans, even civilians... after sept 11 russia called these people who happen to be moslem 'terrorists'). How many people died in Iraq? How many Armenians were slaughtered by Turks (1.5 million, this was in 1915, It was also Hitler's 'inspiration' for the Holocaust )

In Israel terrorist attacks happen daily... and the response to these attacks on the Palestinians is often harsh as well. Its constant war there, America just had one bad day.

Maybe we should think about these people as well as the ones who died last year in sept 11. On my list of tragedies in the world the world trade center one rates pretty low on the list, the only difference is it was close to home.

on an unrelated note this is my 420th post.

the world hasn't changed as much as the US thinks.. just because THEy got attadcked for a change doesn't mean anything..

what has changed is that the US now thinks it has the power to start wars on it's own. Only the british are backing the US on it's plans to attack iraq..

if you ask me they've become too pompous, and it will end badly because of it.

what i can't figure is WHY they've got this fixation on saddam, what about robert mugabe? they're still funding his government!

the problem with the states is, and not nessary the fault of the every day man (i.e people going to work at the twin towers sept.11, secretaries, day care people etc...) is they like to cover things up, they dont like to expose what they have done or do. the states is very ignorant and alot of the people dont know what their contry does or have done in the past... or they dont care. so when the usa got bombed people were asking " why us?" "what did we do to diserve this" and "why did they take innocent lives away from us, our children, or familes...or lives and home" and so forth. and all the media did was over played it and blew it up so much that every fuckin sept 11 to come will be celebrated towards them, and every time someone even mentions the number 911 the chances are you'll think if sept 11. instead of the governemnt explaining to its people why there are people in other countries that will sarifice their own livesin order to cause damage against the usa it does the oposite, ... oh, and i think the staes also have a problem blaming thingd that have occured on themselfs and often blame t on other people...countires...races and nations.....

because, it doesn't matter what your government does, if you are nice to the US you can do whatever the fuck you want. Saddam openly hates the US, and that pisses Bush off.
