DJ Tense - Kadaver 12" Low Res 2002 A guy called DJ Tense releasing a 12" called "Kadaver" on Low Res; I hope nobody expect sweet craddle songs here. It is the first time that I come accross something from him, but it is pretty clear where he is going. The four tracks on this record are straight, pounding and distorted semi-industrial semi-gabber track, somewhere between the straightest Converter and DJ Producer's output. Building tracks around a build up of heavy saturated beats that keep on going faster and faster while some voice samples care for the dark mood of it all, DJ Tense constantly has the dancefloor packed and in sight. I didn't count the BPM, but this material is fast. Using a distorted sound that is to compare with typical rhythmic noise's acts and setting up strong but linear patterns, this guy goes on to fit this harsh hardcore techno shade of noise and if there ever is a third volume of the "Biomechanik" sampler, he has good chance to be on it. Still, the tracks aren't just buzzing speedcore or braindead gabber, and feature the unionized minimum of breaks and changes in rhythms, while never loosing the dance appeal in sight and keeping the digital overdrive cranked on maximum. In the end, you get something that has a definitive hardcore edge and works pretty well, making me think that DJ Tense is everything Hypnoskull dreams of being. Definitely hard stuff for DJ more than something for home listening, "Kadaver" hits hard and fast, and you'll probably get a glimpse of this next time you go to your favorite hardcore party. |

When Kriss went to Megohm to give them ticks for Deathtrap (or was it Slaughterhouse?) the owner told him he would only hold tickets if his logo appeared on the flyer.
We don't like Musikhall either, but they sell tickets. |

Yup, it's true. If you want megohm to sell ticets, you gotta print his logo on the flyer. its understandable... |
