Yeah the directions were wrong... I drove around Montreal for a good hour wondering where the fuck I was going... but it's all good. I made it to the party just like I always do and just in time for my set :)

You guys and your road signs... jeez! lol

Yes, I was harsh. I suppose I've grown to have much higher expectations from the MTL party scene, but this was a boring party. The security was absolutely rude, the location was as sketchy as it was remote, and the party was simply not up to the standard. If you had fun, great! I'm glad someone had a good time! I paid more than I should have for this particular product, and that is only my experience talking.
Who am I? I'm just another party-person with as much validity to my opinion as anyone else, and I've had the benefit of partying in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Sydney, Melbourne, NYC, Berlin (+ Love Parade), Paris, London, Amsterdam, Ibiza, blah blah blah... So trust me, I KNOW Montreal can do better. It's why I moved here last year. It is THE best.
Now I know a lot of you have friends who helped to organize and you appreciate how hard it is to throw a party, but giving kudos for a party like that is simply doing your friends a disservice. I had one friend spinning in the 3rd room, alone, because they didn't want to open the room to the public yet. I was there early to see him and I couldn't cuz some roid-raging penis I'd see at the Dome was blocking me without so much as a reason. Cock-sucker wouldn't even look me in the eye or respond. They need to learn that their shit wasn't tight and, if they ever decide to throw another party, they should do their research and make damn sure their shit is TIGHT.
So I decided to take some insulting shots which is my way of giving a kick in the ass. What else can I do? If they can't take it, hang up the party gloves and go work for the civil service. I went to this party ready for the full-PLUR-package and they sucked all the joy out of me with their almost humerous attempts to suck every last $ from their attendee's pockets. It was a commercial nightmare. If you did like it, go and buy a ticket to Ibiza cuz it's been pretty commercial since 99.
But know this: I'm honest about everything. If I don't like something I'll tell you and sometimes feelings get hurt. But if I ever give someone a complement, you can guarantee it's legit and heartfelt. --> And MAD props to all the DJ's who showed up just for the music. You're all gifted. You transcend the promoters' collective incompetancies.
